The suspension and his body by Cabo plan didn't help him.He scored too many TDs….too many rushing titles.
Got paid too.

Yes...so getting run into the ground, playing hurt, and playing O-line was all his fault?Ezekiel Elliott hurt his own career more than anyone else. Dez Bryant could probably also be put into that category.
That ain;t why.Zeke was probably the most talented but partied himself out of league.
It’s ownership’s mindset. It still amazes me that we stuck with a guy 10 years and he’s still relatively young and not a football coach anymore…….![]()
He never seemed to recover from the suspension and hold out. I'm not sure he kept himself in the best shape either. It's a bruising position, though, so maybe he just wasn't built for sustained success but I wouldn't blame the coaching staff on his almost immediate decline.Yes...so getting run into the ground, playing hurt, and playing O-line was all his fault?
Gosh dang him...if only he didn't care so much.
Lol Garrett sucks
Man, let’s hope and pray that Schott has just been hiding in the shadows all these years….It’s ownership’s mindset.
They get a picture of a person in their head and do everything they can to make their vision a reality.
So they can be ‘right’.
They did it with Garrett.
They’re doing it now with Prescott.
They’ll waste decades in the pursuit of being ‘right’.
You know these threads become more comical everyday,Jerry owns that more than Garrett.
It's his show.
Love to see your input again Stash! Well saidIt’s ownership’s mindset.

Oh really? Well....sun...let's just take one simple example of Zeke abuse. Remember the play he played center...actually the whole offensive line? Sure you do, we all do...many of us love making fun of it.He never seemed to recover from the suspension and hold out. I'm not sure he kept himself in the best shape either. Yeah, it was very rude of him to steal your schtick! You don't have to be so rude....
I tried to warn them.To an extent that was on Garrett. He’s the one who had the biggest hand in switching back to a 43 and doing a complete defensive line rebuild when he had a rapidly aging and increasingly often injured QB!
Yeah yeah we get it….other teams suck too so we are supposed to be ok with it.You know these threads become more comical everyday,
you guys act like this is something that's only owned by Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys..
are you telling me that the other 32 teams are going to Super Bowls on a regular basis or they're making Super Bowls within the four to eight-year. Most of these players are on teams these players there are so many I wouldn't even be able to start the list but if you wanna start it could be with I don't know the Detroit Lions they almost wasted Matthew stafford's career, but they wasted Barry Sanders and Megatron just to name a few..
that's just one team but there's a whole bunch of teams, I don't know the Cincinnati Bengals have had some superstars you can go through the whole 32 teams and find there were players that are considered legacy players that never won a Super Bowl because not a lot of teams are doing it,,
normally there's one team that's a dynasty and they're winning most of all the Super bowls in that little 7 to 10 year. Like Kansas city's eating up a lot of that this last decade..
so there's a lot of legacy players all over the NFL on other teams that are not winning Super Bowls but they also choose to sign these contracts if these players were so in search of a ring that it was so important to them why are they signing 2nd and 3rd contracts with their same teams.
that goes for that list up there why not just bail? I mean right now why did lamb and Prescott and now parsons is next, but other players why are they staying here for so long if it's so upsetting? then why are they staying ?they can choose to turn down the money become free agents and go somewhere and TRY and get a ring...
And that even includes DeMarcus Ware, he didn't turn down the money but when he got to that point like other players get in the NFL like deebo Samuels is the next guy up ,who's going to just get flat out released from his team ,that at some point the money versus production and injuries these guys leave and some get lucky enough like where to get a ring somewhere else..
they didn't seek that out they were gonna be retiring Dallas Cowboys and other teams have these guys sprinkled all over the place but the crazy thing is we're blaming Jerry Jones here for this that we have so many legacy players..HMM
isn't that saying that they brought a lot of superstars to this team through the draft /undrafted free agents? I mean there's so many somebody did something right because we have so many superstars that didn't make Super Bowls but they are superstars, right?you call them legacy players ,well they don't have a ring and everyone's upset because they think they deserve the ring and yet somehow they didn't contribute to getting a ring but there are a lot of them on the Cowboys team.HMM IT must mean the GM/Owner filled this team up with superstars, not bad knock on the GM, is it, I mean at the same time isn't that kind of giving him a compliment?Heres 25 of these great players, many not DCs that did not win rings.. hmmm
Wasn’t that weird play where he played center the last play of his first stint with Dallas? It’s not like they had him playing right guard on the regular.Oh really? Well....sun...let's just take one simple example of Zeke abuse. Remember the play he played center...actually the whole offensive line? Sure you do, we all do...many of us love making fun of it.
Do you think Henry or Barkley's teams would ask them to do that? Do you think they'd say yes? No...and (curse word) NO!
They also asked him to play hurt. I know Barkley says no a lot. But zeke said yes, when the team darn well knew he was hurt and shoulda put him on the sidelines.
Was zeke a perfect off season specimen...well...he certainly did have TMZ following him around everywhere early on. So maybe not so much.
But you have SO much confidence in Dallas Cowboys management they had NOTHING to do with his early decline?
Please...
Okay...I see what's going on here.Wasn’t that weird play where he played center the last play of his first stint with Dallas? It’s not like they had him playing right guard on the regular.
As far as playing hurt, a lot of backs do. Emmitt played with a separated shoulder. There is a difference in playing hurt when your team needs you for the playoffs and when your team is 2-10 (Barkley’s Giants).
