Does it ever bother you when Jerry brings up his past success stories?

Its seems in every press conference or whenever there's a microphone in his face, he's talking about current issues, but references his success back in the 80's and 90's as if that has anything to do with helping the current Cowboys. It's nice that he can reflect on the success he's had, but he's lost his touch, and he's clearly not using the same resources he used back then. Does this bother you to hear him talk about his past success, knowing that's not what we want to hear as fans. We as fans want to see action, not referencing how you won superbowls back then, or how you took risks when you first bought the team! Please give your thoughts

He’s gone from being a jibbering fool to a jibbering old one.

No...if you've ever won any championship, you'll never forget it and will always be proud of them. I won 16 as a HC, 2 MS basketball, 1 MS track, 1JV baseball, 6 MS football and 6 Varsity football. Experienced the Gatorade bath several times. Great memories with great kids, coaches and family.

He can’t even sell future hope anymore.

Especially after hiring a coach not a single team wanted that’s on his like 13th gig in the NFL.

He has to. How else is he going to defend his incompetence....

No, because I rarely listen to him. :muttley:
But when I do, the very few times, it only does, when he is trying to deflect or make some some analogy as an excuse. Basically saying ..back when, I overcame this, as if it applies to running a team to overcome their discrepancies. They have no correlation.

That is like me saying. I had this loser stock, that became a winner, 3 times in the 90's. So now, if I keep my loser stocks, I will eventually make money. Though the past history on those stocks the past 28 years have been negative.

Agreed, all the hype talk in the off season when he starts to do this, NOBODY will buy it anymore, i'm sorry it had to come to this, but his days of pulling the cover over our eyes as fans are over!!!!

I don't listen to anything Jerry has to say because every conversation with that dude somehow boils down to glory holes and war daddies.
I mean, seriously. If it wasn't for this board, I would've even know what he's saying. I stopped listening to him a long time ago when I realized it was all just senseless blather. The guy rarely utters even one thought that isn't an olio of a clusterfudge.

Jerry's level of success has been constantly overstated by himself for decades, with more of that yet to come. I doesn't really bother me much, since I know much of his success has been dependent upon the work of those like Jimmy Johnson, and others who know football far better.

Jerry will keep spouting about his successes until he can no longer speak. At least, we know it won't last forever, if that's any consolation. I'll likely be six feet under, by then. At least, I won't be forced to tolerate it, any longer -- I kinda like that idea! ;)

Jerry has been more successful the past 20 years than he was the prior 8 years. He's done everything but cut down the nets the past 20 years! Keep knocking on that door Jerry, one day you will kick it in!!! It took Philly 17 years to kick in that door. Keep knocking(y'all would call it winning meaningless games)

And I can't really remember JJ bringing up past success stories outside of mentioning something positive a former player brought to the team.
