Does it ever bother you when Jerry brings up his past success stories?

What past success stories?

Jimmy built the team that won three Super Bowls, not Jerry.

Jerry's success, only as an owner, has one chapter, one page, one sentence. He hired Jimmy Johnson by promising him full control over all football operations.

Jimmy had other offers. In fact, he was on Tex Schram's short list in the event that the owner forced him to fire Tom Landry,

As far as success as a GM, Jerry has none. He has only succeeded in destroying what others had built.

Lol lol lol but we can't complain about the ***** on here!! Everyone just be happy and smile

Its seems in every press conference or whenever there's a microphone in his face, he's talking about current issues, but references his success back in the 80's and 90's as if that has anything to do with helping the current Cowboys. It's nice that he can reflect on the success he's had, but he's lost his touch, and he's clearly not using the same resources he used back then. Does this bother you to hear him talk about his past success, knowing that's not what we want to hear as fans. We as fans want to see action, not referencing how you won superbowls back then, or how you took risks when you first bought the team! Please give your thoughts
He needs to be reminded how we got that success. Going out and signing realky good players

No...if you've ever won any championship, you'll never forget it and will always be proud of them. I won 16 as a HC, 2 MS basketball, 1 MS track, 1JV baseball, 6 MS football and 6 Varsity football. Experienced the Gatorade bath several times. Great memories with great kids, coaches and family.
14 individual track & x country championships. All American in both sports

Captained winning conference teams

At 78 still some of my proudest memories besides my family and becoming a grandparent

What else is he going to talk about?

No because that’s all he has left at this point. I think we all relive the glory days :muttley:
I believe it's likely much the case that Jerry is somewhat tortured himself, by that fact.

Maybe that's why he feels a bit entitled, and even fairly vindicated for his deceptiions.

I'm not actually inclined to make excuses for his actions. I can't help but to feel anger.

The fact that he can't learn from his mistakes is mind boggling.

It bothers me that he believes he was anything more than the stooge who wrote the checks.

But concentrating on DT and OL and S.
I don’t expect a big shopping spree but if he’d just get one stud player in FA it could be huge. Ideally it would be DT because they are hard to draft but right now not a lot of stud DT set to be a FA but a couple who could be solid adds. I don’t think we keep Osa because he’s gonna get big offers but I’d keep gholston and add a FA if possible while still drafting one too. Some nice safety prospects in this draft. We have to get a developmental OT for sure. What we have hasn’t developed but I don’t think like our guard depth. Bass and Hoffman I like and Hoffman can play center fairly well too

We have 3 DT and 3 DE's that are free agents.

Joseph
Osa
Watkins

DLaw
Lawson
Gholston

We have way to many holes to fill, without participating in FA.

It's an Age thing. He has great long term memory. It's the last thing to leave. All part of the aging process.
...except he was doing the exact same thing in his late fifties and early sixties. When does the aging process begin?
