it would not shock the world if we do it...rad some Mock that had us drafting one, just can't remember who it was. Johnson maybe if he's there? Now there's a draft strategy to make sure we never win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, then do you go TE or injured LB in round 2?it would not shock the world if we do it...rad some Mock that had us drafting one, just can't remember who it was. Johnson maybe if he's there?
Imagine them saying we won’t be able to stop the run and won’t create turnovers. That would be more interesting.Every new DC says they are going to force turnovers and stop the run.
Exactly. All these short deals and dumpster diving. We like our guys. We'll see what DTs and LBs are brought in and if there going to the run.
I think it needs to be DL. Philly won with that DL.If we draft a wr at 12 it won't do much for us this year. Wasted pick. What does move the needle is if we can get a generational player that gives us a shot in the arm in short order. I'm saying if Mason Graham somehow falls to us, run the card in. Or if Hunter is there. He can create many problems for teams to defend. Including on special teams. Those are the two dudes I'm watching. Jeanty is the other guy. If we can get one of those 3, the turn around of the cowboys would be amazing.
Tend to agree. But it's gotta be the right Dlineman. For me, in rd one, it's Graham. At 12, we have a legit chance to get him. Or jump a couple picks up for him. He's worth it.I think it needs to be DL. Philly won with that DL.
looooooooooooooooooolSo, then do you go TE or injured LB in round 2?
Yeah...it still takes players to buy in, takes fit, and good players. Bears weren't any of the above. Then factor in the fact he was a terrible HC and leader. He's good at being DC. That's what he is, period. That's ok. But folks better tamp down their expectations of him. Frankly, I never understood why all the love for the guy. I said the same about Zimmer. To me, not much separates the two. Ones younger but that's it. Now our guys need to buy in and we must get the right free agents, draft picks. It's always about the players. It starts there and ends there.Worked in Chicago why not here... oh wait..
Exactly - if the players are not around his ideas he is not going to magically make it work. But hey let's pray and hope we are wrong!Yeah...it still takes players to buy in, takes fit, and good players. Bears weren't any of the above. Then factor in the fact he was a terrible HC and leader. That's what we've been doing. Hasn't worked.Lets just draft really good players regardless of position, and go get a couple good free agents and sort it out in camp. I could care less about excitement. Just win. It starts in the trenches, this game always will be won or lost up front.
We can walk and chew gum. More than one truth can coexist. Let's fill holes in free agency first, strategically, then draft good players, follow the board, let it fall to us. No reaches. Ie...like drafting a blocking TE early lol. Crap like that, which is what MM did. That's what we've been doing. Hasn't worked.
You're second sentence contradicts the first. You can't focus on the trenches if you're just going to draft players willynilly regardless of position.
However, I know what you're really saying. What you mean is that we need a heady GM who is astute at valuing players. That will keep us from drafting the Tacos and Mazis and Kelvin Josephs.
