Not crazy at all. Jeanty will be gone by 12. Somebody will trade up for him. Barkley has really opened the door for running back value. But you don't build a team from the offensive skill positions. You build from the inside out. You start with offensive and defensive lines.

The only path forward for this team is defense. Dak isn't a special QB who can carry a team. We need an elite defense so Dak can drive the bus on the offense. You build from the trenches. I think we should go DT in round 1 and 2. Take Nolan at 12 and T Williams in round 2.
 
Not that Broaddus is the be all but he not high on Nolan. A journalist who writes for the Bears noted that Eburflues (sp). Utilizes, big strong DE. I’m nothing Shemar Stewart De Texas AM

i agree we need to build the defense, especially the DL.
But with Jerry and Stephen going all in on Dak, even hiring a HC Dak is comfortable with, I think they will go heavy on offense.

I expect 2 of our first 3 picks will be RB/WR, but not necessarily in that order, in order to try and give the $60 mil man more weapons while also appeasing the new HC/OC. We will be lucky if we get a DT in the 2nd or 3rd.

yeah, and the defensive people we pick up in FA will be dumpster diving

Get the fat dudes in FA and the fast guys in the draft.

Sign Osa and a run clogger in FA and get a WR in the first 2 rounds.
