This is not a slight against Dak or even CD. But I don’t understand the logic of retaining your own players who did not make the Super Bowl last year would propel you to the Super Bowl this year.

Jerry’s offseason consisted of signing Dak/CD and the draft. Since we didn’t make the Super Bowl last year and then you strip away players to support Dak/CD/Micah and expected to go to the Super Bowl this year is well….delusional. Another poster said delusional and I feel that’s the most accurate word. Expecting better results with less talent?!? Either he’s delusional or trolling.

We could not win with CD, Dak and Micah being paid less, but Jerry expects to win now by paying them significantly more.

I agree. And I would add that if Jerry made the decision to extend Dak and CD why didn’t he do it in a manner that could have gotten us some FAs. Why did Jerry let our depth go? He could have signed Dak and CD and kept our depth and maybe added some guys if he did the extensions in March and not August/September.

This past Super Bowl was a prime example of star players needing role players to succeed. I believe Mahomes is the best QB in the league, he’s the elite of the elite. He looked like dog trash without help.

I agree with the Jones on paying your Star players. I don’t agree with how they go about doing it as far as expecting the Star players to overcome lack of talent on the team.

It just doesn’t make sense to me. How do you expect Dak and CD to be better players with less talent around them? Again sometimes I feel Jerry is delusional, or Stephen’s delusional. O well, just my little rant.
