Late to the conversation but who is Jones trying to kid? The Cowboys' free agent expenditures last year was DEAD LAST. Dak and CeeDee were their own players. If the Jones Boys got those deals done early LIKE EVERY OTHER TEAM DOES, they would have had money to spend on outside free agents.

The Cowboys can create nearly $80 million of cap space this year by restructuring Dak, CeeDee, cutting Steele, etc.. But they have this year's built in excuse already, "We have to pay Micah".

So who will this year's big free agent pickup be? Maybe Alfred Morris or Darren McFadden can pick up where Zeke left off last season.

More of the same...being "all in" on drafted players is great but not being "all in" in free agency and other avenues to better your team is stupid.

More bargain bin free agency as Micah is now the reason they will not be active in viable free agency yet again.

Jerrah and his dumb son try to low ball their own guys, then wait them out and lose, overpay then get mad at them for getting top market contracts.

Then, try to punish them by doing nothing to help them win as a team otherwise, saying they must make do with less because of what they are paying their stars!

So cheap, do not want to even pay for a decent coach.

EXACTLY !!!! How does taking an existing player, bumping his pay, improve the quality of play on the field? In that case, we should give TJ Bass and Brock Hoffman identical 6 year, $240 million contracts. We'll magically have the best OLine in football. SMH
