Lunda Wells: We want to be more physical at the line of scrimmage

I heard Broaddus talking about this recently and he made a point that is probably correct. Jonathan Mingo is our best blocking WR. If you want to improve the run game you have to have good blockers at the position and the one guy who can do it you probably don't want on the field very much.

Basic philosophy of football. Win the trenches, win the game.

Football 101 stuff. Now prove your serious in FA and the draft.
Bada Bing! Jerry is only interested in flashy, big-time guys who catch the headlines
. Funny coming from him since he was O-Line himself back in the day.

TE coach Lunda Wells on changes to O: "There’ll be some similarity but one of the biggest things that we’re really focusing on offensively is being a little bit more physical up front, really on both sides of the ball, as a team being physical. Dominating the line of scrimmage."

So Lunda...... what is different this year from previous years? Shouldn't you been preaching this already? What were you focusing on last year? You've had your chance, why should we feel this time will be different?
Amen

So it took 30 years to hire Capt Obvious? Is that kind of like teaching our QB how to use his feet, etc? No offense to the Wells guy, but really? Is this the NFL or the Doggie Bowl?

Wow this is really meaningful and groundbreaking. Most football coaches don't want or care too much about having a physical oLine and dLine, and don't even think about "dominating the line of scrimmage". I think this gives us an edge, to actually decide to dominate both sides of the line of scrimmage. Shouldn't be that hard

Later on, I heard he said that the team will also focus on scoring more points than the other team. That too should give us a big edge.

Wow this is some cutting edge football.
Did somewhere along the line we decide not to play patty cake on the offense and defensive lines after we saw what the eagles were doing.
This is really a startling breakthrough in team philosophy

From what I have seen in our ability to draft defensive tackles we would probably stand as good a chance assembling a recon unit to find the abominable snowman and Bigfoot to man the defensive line
Maybe we can at least play the best players on the offensive line this year instead of being forced to play Jerry's draft picks no matter how bad they were and Zack Martin who was totally washed.
Got to get some players in here with heart that aren't afraid to stick their nose in there and throw down.
These soft *** players we got just get manhandled

If Mazi would have been the player they thought he was it would have made a big difference.
Mazi has both lied and told the truth to this FO.

He was telling the truth when he said, "Oh snap son, I don't even be liking football" ......so i commend him for that

But he was lying when he said, " I like to hit people"......I've seen more of him getting hit and relocated from his original. spot.
