Mike Green metrics

All of that sounds great but we have an issue with actually taking down the QB, we can rush and win with all these rates, but we allow QB's to slip right away, leaving us chasing a QB as he's running down the field

This kid may be our best value at 12........line him up with Parsons, get your DT in the 2nd and RB 3rd.

Drastically undersized and a one year wonder. Way too much bust potential for my taste at 12. He’s basically the same player as Micah so he’d either be his backup or a 3rd down specialist. Too many other holes to fill especially with Williams coming back!

Big fan…just wonder if he makes sense with us already having Micah.

Very good run metrics but it was small school competition. I doubt that holds up in the NFL with his length.

I like Green, but not with the Cowboys. Green's numbers make it seem like a good idea to pair with Parsons on the opposite side. The problem I see is that we'll end up being soft on the edge's as in terms of stopping the run.

I agree, doesn't make sense to have both Parsons and Green. They would both get beat up with teams contently running at them. Our defense will be softer than it currently is.

raw. does not have very good upper body strength. Very aggressive; lacks discipline
Nah.

same height and bigger than Micah,
,2 Micahs sound better than 1 to me.

Well that’s if you actually believe he’s 250. He sure doesn’t look it. Sports reference who’s usually more accurate than the schools who exaggerate size has him listed at 215. He look maybe 235.
Regardless, 2 Micah’s don’t do alot of good if ones sitting on the bench. Nor do they do you any good if all the offense has to do is run it down your throat. This defense scheme someone has to play the 5tech. We dropped a 2nd on our future 5tech last year.
Beware the one year wonders and I’d think this guy is the most likely candidate to be a bust in the first!

he was 250 at the senior bowl.our pass rush struggles on critical downs because teams are doubling Micah,if we have another player like Micah who plays with similar speed and strength than we will be vastly improved.

I don't know if he's going to be a bust, but I am hesitant to spend the 12 on another end. We're about to invest heavily in Parsons, and he'll primarily be playing (right) end, then we spent last year's second on a (left) end, a strong run defender who was a second-rounder because his pass-rush needed work. I know you can never have too many pass rushers, but I think this defense will benefit more from an interior disrupter like Walter Nolen. I'd re-sign Lawson for cheap to pair with Parsons, Kneeland and Williams (coming off injury). I wouldn't mind adding an end to that group sometime during the draft, but not early. Now, if Dallas has one of the ends rated top 10 and Nolen not in the top 20, then I'd rather have another pass rusher over any other position than RB (only because of Jeanty) if we couldn't trade down slightly. I think Nolen is worth the 12, though.

i hear you but those guys have done next to nothing in the NFL,no guarantee Williams will ever produce either.I always advocate taking BPA in RD 1,we always go horribly wrong with picking for need in the 1st RD.Th eagles drafted Jalen carter in the 1st Rd when they selected Jordan Davis in the 1st Rd in the previous draft and they also had Milton Williams!!.

I believe in tiered BPA. In other words, there may not be a discernible difference valuewise between Player A, Player B and Player C when you draft, so take the one that most fills a need. Now, occasionally, there's clearly a player who is BPA. I think that happened the year we took Lamb, and I believe Parsons also was BPA (and we were prepared to draft need instead, but thankfully both corners we were eyeing were gone).

I would take Jeanty if he's there because of the value. If he's not, I would take Graham or Nolen because of the position need/value. If they are gone, I would take Green or Pearce Jr. If all of those are gone, I'd take Burden or Banks.

Exactly!
Even if we were looking at the end position I’d go with Pearce.

So you’re going to drop the 12th pick on a pass rush specialist who can’t and isn’t a 3 down player!
Eberflus scheme is dependent on the 7tech and 3tech creating pressure.
Sam Williams is already your 3rd down pass rusher. Taking another is redundant!

Green is a 3 down player, please watch some highlights-he plays the run really well.look at his TFL and run stop metrics.

Are you seriously talking about playing 2 LBs at DE?

Thats college, everyone is bigger, faster and better in the NFL

Micah already gets washed out now Green will too

Then please dont come back and cry that teams just run all over us

Recipe for disaster
