News: PFN: Micah Parsons Makes Feelings Clear on Jerry Jones and the Hate He Gets From Dallas Fans

yeah but that's the thing it's actually true he usually overpays his own players he keeps them longer than he should he does care he cares too much the problem here is people get that mixed up they call him cheap but he's not he overpays all his players most of the superstars that deserve contracts get them and they usually are top five market contracts they're all big and again he keeps them around too long but it's free agency people mix up free agency and trades with the way he treats his own players Parsons is saying that the team really likes him they don't look at him the way the outsiders do and I'm sure they do want Jerry to be a little bit more aggressive in free agency but he's saying that players under contract on his team his best players get taken care of and that's absolutely true....

Yep . Man you got it right . But wow I’d suggest to try and complete sentences with periods and paragraphing . More people might read it.

One of my best Cowboy friends on this site years ago said it well. Jethro runs his team thru the eyes of a fan.

That does it for me. Wipe the excess Brown off your nose Parsons
Please ask for a trade.
Before Jerry makes another monumentally stupid signing.

Right. Winning of course makes it more fun but the business at hand is making money. As much as you can for as long as you can.

Problem for fans is all they have is winning. There’s no money in it for them.
Yeah, if I have a boss who treats me well, am getting paid well and enjoy what I do, you won't hear me complain about my boss. It's pretty simple logic IMO. That does not mean for NFL players that they don't want to win Super Bowls, that is the pinnacle of achievement in their profession, but it does mean that if they are giving it their all to accomplish that, they can be satisfied with the job.

Now, Micah would be better off not coming to the defense of his boss for fan/media criticism because that's a different animal. The view of outsiders and of those who work for the man are going to be different. Our view is simply results based. And the results of Jerry the GM the last 30 years show that he should not be a GM.

Is it baseball season yet?

I grow more disinterested with this team and its delusional players with each passing day.

"Cowboys DE Micah Parsons made it clear that he doesn’t need to be the highest-paid defensive player. He said that would be nice, but added: “It would be nice to be surrounded by good players. Players are going to help you win championships. I want to keep as many guys as possible. … I want to work with them as much as possible.”“I don’t need $40 million per year. I need to be somewhere where I can have a lake house.”"

Why can't Dak have the same mentally?

I mean Micah, we aren't stupid. We have eyes. We can see the 30 year run he's on, one of the worst postseason runs in NFL history.

Trying to convince us he's a really good GM because he "takes care" of his guys is idiotic. Sorry, bud.
Yeah, that was a very bad, not to mention shortsighted, argument.

Problem is taking care of players really isnt the GMs job. Thats a coaching job. To some extent thats an owner job. A GMs job is to assemble the roster....Jerry has been decent but not great at that.
No, he's been terrible at assembling the roster. If he were decent, we'd be able to stop the run in the playoffs.

If Micah would only stop cutting off his nose to spite his face, he might turn into a dog. He's good already, but does he really need to devote much of his energy to a podcast? Why does he seem to get small in big games? We all see it. I wish he'd mature and hone in on his craft.

I believe Dallas has ruined Parsons. He needs to go to an organization with structure that will treat him like an ordinary player and make him earn his position and develop him into the quiet strong warrior he was meant to be.

Micah, if you get onto these message boards, we love you but you could be so much more if you would get out of your own way. We say this with love and passion. It ain't about the money, you deserve everything, but we just want to see you be what we know you can be. You barely have touched what you can be. Grow up son. With all respect. I mean that. Someday I want you to hoist the SB trophy for us.

Your not totally wrong. But as a man, it's on him to be the grown up and hold himself to higher standards and account. To your point though, if he was with Andy Reid up in KC, we would see none of this podcast crap . I assure you. He'd be a leader and better player. That said, he's here in Dallas, so it's time for him to look in the mirror. Man up son.

'Taking care of players' is not necessarily going to lead to winning. Motivating people to play through pain and risk of permanent injury is not that simple.
