Micah is a walking distraction. He's not just talking when reporters ask him questions. He is actively commenting on teammates and starting conversations on his podcasts and social media. How does that play in the locker room when teammates have to answer questions about his comments about them? At Some point, Dallas will once again rediscover that culture matters. This is what I don't get.......why do fans let Parsons's mouth get under their skin? Especially the fact he's not attacking them ......kinda like the "shut up and dribble" crowd. We have seen him repeat some of the same concerns fans have had for years, but since it comes from him, let's trade him or he talks too much.
I think Micah believes that Jerry wants to do that. He's made comments in that regard. He's simply not jaded like us. He's not a long time Cowboys fan who sees the history of what's been done, or not done. He is more like the casual fans who would not be part of a board like this one. As a player, he's fully invested and believes a GM who takes care of his players wants to be successful and win a Super Bowl.As an employee on a sports team ....... I would prefer a GM who wants to, and actually makes football moves, to be successful and win a Superbowl.
Sucking up to players is not the job of the GM.
I don't think Micah will hold Jerry to anything. Jerry is his boss, a boss that is going to pay him a whole lot of money and takes care of his players. I make requests of my boss, but I don't make demands because I value my job. Now, that doesn't mean I wouldn't leave for a better job, but Micah knows he's not going anywhere any time soon because he's under contract and then the team can franchise tag him if necessary. So let's see how much Micah holds Jerry to pursuing quality free agents after his meeting with the dumbest GM in the NFL
Link?
I hate the whole quoting number of first rounders to get back in a trade, as something meaningful. For example, Tennessee’s first rounder in 25 is worth more than Philadelphia next three first rounders. I wish everyone would just start quoting Jimmy Johnson draft value points instead of something meaningless… Like number of first rounders is…Parsons' statement makes me wish we could trade him for 3 no.1s
Exactly my point, jerry will open the wallet, make Micah the Highest paid, and we won't hear a peep about free agentsI don't think Micah will hold Jerry to anything. From Micah? I still think he'll say he would like this guy or that guy to come to Dallas and call for it, but I don't think he'll call the Joneses on the carpet for not getting them. Who would do that to a boss treating him well and richly rewarding him? I think if we're expecting Micah to rebel against it, we're asking too much. Just because we're outraged to that extent does not mean he is.Exactly my point, jerry will open the wallet, make Micah the Highest paid, and we won't hear a peep about free agents
It seems that way to me. We either want players to take less to play for our team or to stand up to his bosses or any other of the things we believe we'd do in that situation, when hardly any of us would do it if playing in the NFL was our job. Most employees are more concerned about their personal situation over the success of the company.
How many people would take less money if it meant your company was more successful?
I think too many fans forget that the NFL is a business first.
He's not stupid. Anyone making fun if another man for wanting to maximize his worth, especially in a job like this....now, that's pretty stupid. That's just a man working his boss for a raise. It'll probably work.
Post of the night! It'll give me something to make posts about lolYa'll still think he's gonna take a pay cut for the team?
This is "please, pay me all the money" talk.
Mark my words. This dude will quit as soon as he gets that contract. I've never been more sure about it than I am with Parsons. He likes the influencer lifestyle too much.
Right. Winning of course makes it more fun but the business at hand is making money. As much as you can for as long as you can.It seems that way to me.
