Step One in having a great off-season plan

step 1 is improving the interior defensive line
It absolutely is. That is what we have been unable to get through Jerry's head for 30 years. Jerry doesn't even know that his 3 super bowls were won primarily due to Defense. That deep and talented DLine was most likely the biggest factor to all 3 wins. We fell apart when Jerry started letting them walk.

Yeah, I think he basically took the job and said. Thank you very much and accepted a very low pay
The guy's a 25 year failure. In the NFL who's been fired everywhere he's been, so there's that.
He comes in introduces a new system has a little success in the beginning, but when defenses adjust he's toast.
With all those failures behind him, maybe he's overdue for a change. Let's hope so. Stay tuned.

Will all these young coaches be able to give him some impetus and help him enough? We'll see.

Now and then, for whatever reason, oddities come together to make startling recoveries happen.

No matter what, Jerry makes it his business to pay his HCs as little as he can. It's a compulsion!

Maybe.

OTOH, he's never had a HCing chance. There are many coaches in the NFL who are good at one and not the other. There's a chance that his forte' is quite simply being a HC, and he wasn't great at the others.
Yeah but calling someone a 25 year failure that has managed to consistently get jobs as an assistant coach in the NFL is inaccurate. He has left things to be desired for sure but sounds like he has some very good qualities as well....the word failure just bothered me I guess

Agree. Doesn't look like a failure to me.

Jerral has a plan. Will anyone on this board be happy with it?

If history is a guide, he'll try to rebuild with draft picks and churn the bottom of the roster with low-cost FA's hoping to find a nugget.
He is getting ready to drop a Deuce on the NFL.

I'm always hoping for the best
