Video from Bears reporter on what to expect from Eberflus

Other things to do. Like bring in the trash can. Get a cup of coffee. Reset the cable box for a show I am not watching. Need to run to post office in a bit, in case I am late to respond again. You know, life happens. :muttley:
Damn you mods really are busy, what a great life!!! To think you can't put aside your busy day to come blog with us, what a guy  :muttley: :muttley: :muttley:

Why is this so hard for a DC to comprehend? I mean, why can't they move him around depending on the situation/match-up? It makes sense to me. Having him as DE on the same side every down is a waste!! smdh
Micah is pretty much a heat seeking missile. So you arrange to make sure he is where the heat is

More familiarity for the Jones boys, bend but don't break defense that promotes no fear into the opposing offenses. We've been here and done that already. I like Eberflus as a teacher/coach but the Marinelli defense gave us the likes of Taco Charlton and no SB!
Marinelli also liked smaller “quick twitch” DTs. He was instrumental in giving us Trysten Hill. Little to no production at UCF while not starting half the time, but Marinelli pounded the table for him. Thats Eberflus’ mentor.

he's the same missle that shoots up the field and is lost in space because the runner or mobile QB is running past him

I think this is posted in the stadium somewhere that we must draft like this

Sounds like Coogs is still pushing his 'I wanna be a mod' agenda.

I'm not even wasting the time looking at the video I can already tell you the scheme doesn't matter because we aren't going to have the personnel in the middle to stop the run so that's what people are going to do like they've been doing for a long time now.

Is it really rocket science we just watched Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis Josh sweat and Williams put enough pressure on the best quarterback in the league to absolutely neutralize him and they're running game with four guys because they have two dominant defensive tackles.

For heaven's sake Jerry don't learn anything just to continue to ignore that position and sit in your box and watch us be run over try and hope for the perfect storm that we get a a lead and can just rush the passer.

If there was ever a lesson in how important the trenches are just continue to watch the Super bowl over and over Jerry until it somehow gets ingrained in your thick head
Spot on. Our DTs and LBs (excluding Parsons) would NOT be starters on any top 10 defense in the league. Overshown possibly, but he can't stay on the field.

If this doesn't get addressed AGAIN, expect the same results defensively

I like the hire just because if he isn't good we can call him Eberflop.

Even as an interior rush part of the game if the G/C tandem is the weak link line Parsons up there . Or drop him in coverage on the RB now and then . Mix up the schemes . Nothing in Chicago impressed me the entire Eberflus run . It’s Jerry going comfortable with who he knows .

Anyone miss Quinn yet? His defenses had flaws against the run because they were built to play with leads but they were attacking defenses that caused chaos and turnovers. If he'd have been able to get Jerry to sign some quality LBs and solid DTs he would have had some ferocious defenses.
