The Cowboys should sign Keenum, and let Dak decide what to do next

Without seeing what is being offered and how it is structured none of know what the true deal is. Glazer is reporting that the 40 mill is a lie. As for the 33 I believe it was that was offered without looking at how the deal is structured you still do not know.
Exactly. And the opposite is also true then, you cannot state that the team is lowballing because we don't know the details.

OK, fair enough. Who is the uncapable team who has won the Super Bowl?
I think one of the worst teams I've seen win a super bowl was the Saints. They found a way around having a terrible D by playing bounty bowl on D.

I'm not making the team or Dak the bad guy. Both sides are looking at what is best for themselves, they will try to reach a deal that both can live with. In the end I think a deal will get done.

I did not say uncapable teams win SB. I said there have been QB more than capable of winning it all yet played their entire career without ever winning a SB. Marino sure as hell was capable but no ring to show for it, and there is a list of QB I think many would think were capable but teams were unable to get that ring.

But I did. I said that exact thing, to which you replied with the following:

"and that is your opinion" in post #515. I mean, that's exactly what you said. So OK, which is it? Show me where I ever questioned your assertion on capable QBs who never won a Super Bowl. Show me where I ever disagreed with that.

The statement I made was that I believed Jerry was doing everything he could to try and put the Cowboys in a position to win a Super Bowl and he doesn't believe that Dak is a QB who can overcome a lack of talent. Here is what I posted, post #513:

"Dak is not a QB who can simply will this team to the Super Bowl. He needs players and that means we can't be in a position where we are simply trapped in a contract that is untradeable or you just can't operate with. I suspect that this is what Jerry might be seeing as well. To me, it's the only thing that makes sense. This is not about money if Jerry is 100% convinced that Dak is the guy IMO."

You said pretty much the same thing about Tony though right?

I have many posts on the board saying Romo would never lead the Cowboys to a championship because of poor decision making and his history for committing untimely turnovers in big games. It caused a lot of Romo lovers come on the attack, accusing me of being a Romo hater.

No QB is willing their team to win they rely on talent around them just as well, and they all get paid. What some want here is Dak to just take some low offer and why should he? Why did not Lawrence take a low offer? I don't begrudge Dak going after a contract.

Offensively, that team was pretty good. Defensively, they were below average except in a couple of areas. Turnover Differential, 4th down and Penalties. They were very good in both those areas defensively.

But you also have posts, especially around the time we were discussing his record deal saying he would, correct?

So if this is correct, then what exactly is your issue with my earlier post? I mean, you are basically admitting to what I posted earlier so explain please.

You seem to think Dak is less worthy of getting a top contract as others have.

I never said Romo would lead us to a championship, I said he gave us the best chance over the scrubs that were being mentioned to replace him. We were going through the same thing with Romo and his contract that we’re going through with Dak. Most Cowboy fans don’t want to pay Dak because they don’t think he’s the answer. They would rather take their chances with a castoff who’s a cheaper option or have the Cowboys try their luck in the draft. You’re one of those that wants a cheaper option. You don’t seem to care if the cheaper option sucks. You were singing the same tune about Romo back in 2012.

You seem to be injecting personal opinion into what you believe I think.

I clearly said that it was not about money if Jerry believed he was the guy. Jerry has never done that with QB in the past. Jerry has always overpaid his QB but not Dak. Now why is that? I clearly explained this but you sit here and post what you posted above. How do you reconcile that?

Interesting. I guess you get confused a lot. You don't remember saying he would win and yet, you seem to remember all kinds of BS about Hill that you imagined I said. This is an interesting process to watch.

You’re the one who gets confused a lot and I’m just about to prove it with some of your comments touting Taysom Hill. Stay tuned!

Dallas has not had as many top profile FA in quite a while. Zeke getting a deal done making him the highest paid RB in the NFL last season, Lawrence getting the highest paid DE in the league last season. Dak and Cooper both looking at new deals that everyone knows will be costly. Jerry along with Stephen were not in a hurry to get the zeke deal signed, same with Lawrence and we are seeing this now with Dak and Cooper.

It's real easy to prove. Go find where I said what you claim I said. I mean, it's not like you don't know how this works. You make up a bunch of BS, I ask you to prove I said what you claim, you post a link and say "see", I read through it and there is nothing in it that substantiates what you claim. I point it out, and you misdirect by bringing up crap like this. It's your MO.

Go ahead, show me where I said what you claim.

What does this have to do with what I asked or posted earlier?

Look who's writing. The one who can't seem to read simple text. You talk a lot of crap but you rarely back anything up with actual fact. You just talk a lot. Not that you will be able to do it but go ahead, show me where I said what you claim. You won't be able to because I never said that but it's OK. Maybe it will keep you busy for a few minutes and out of every one else's way.

I deal in facts and back up everything I say with actual facts. Read it and weap! lol

BTW, I love Taysom Hill.

When I asked you if you loved Taysom Hill enough that you would rather have him over Dak, this was your response.

Depends on the contract situation. I mean, if I'm forced to just give Dak whatever he wants, then I love Hill more by a lot.

But as an aside, I don't think Nola makes him available either way so he's probably not an option.

You have other posts in that thread gushing over Hill and his days at BYU. You were touting a gadget guy who has only 13 career passing attempts, completing less than half of them for no touchdowns as our starting QB.
