Report: Raiders ready to offer Tom Brady two-year, $60 million deal
Posted by Mike Florio on February 15, 2020, 9:23 AM EST

The quarterback carousel already is spinning.

Nearly two weeks after a report emerged that the Raiders will target Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in free agency, a new report puts some monetary meat on the bone.

Larry Fitzgerald Sr., a long-time member of the media in Minnesota and the father of future first-ballot Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald, reports that the Raiders are ready to offer Brady $60 million over two years.

He’s not going there. He has 1-2 years left to win again. Raiders aren’t close to competing (especially in the same division as KC) and Brady isn’t about the money.

Although this may be true, isn't it's the reason he wanna test the market? Kraft has made no bones about wanting him back. So this is ALL Brady.......

I think it’s more, we’re preparing for the future.

I just don’t see Brady taking 30 million to stink with the Raiders as opposed to taking 25-29 to play on a contender

IDK 50, I think as a min, makes the Raiders a playoff contender......they weren't that far off this past season. Gruden knows if he wanna top the Chiefs he's going have to raise the stake. Brady could very well be the missing piece coz honestly I'm convinced the Chiefs will repeat.....at all.

Brady is a huge upgrade over Carr, even at his age.

BTW.....IF this report is true, is this the first indication of Brady's market value or at least the ceiling?

Isn’t this what the Pats were willing to offer? If that is true than the Pats would be a better choice.

Don't know about that, there's that Belichick/Brady connection that I am sure both would like to prove wrong. Some think they can't win without the other.

The Raiders are actually not that bad of a team and I was surprised after all of their player moves that when I watched them play, they weren't half bad. They ended up 7-9 and the Cowboys were I game better.

Besides that, they're moving to a new city and stadium and what better way to open it up than with the GOAT QB? They need to improve that D and they can contend, with Brady, in the West.

Depends on what the Pats plan on doing about getting more talent in around him and what the Raiders are offering along with that 60M.

I also wonder about the relationship between Brady and Kraft and Belichick. Kraft made that contract for 15M sound like a take it or leave deal and then they bump him to 23M, still far below what other QB's are getting. Brady might be feeling a little unappreciated and Gruden is a players' coach.
