I don't know about that. I think he's a great backup but I wouldn't give him 25-30 carries a game.
Its 2020, not 1980. Zeke has NEVER avg 25+ carries. The closest he got was in 2017 in a shortened season with 24 per game. You would have to go all the way back to 2006 to see a player avg 25 per and that was Larry Johnson. Murray came close in 2014 with 24 per.

https://www.pff.com/news/pro-signature-stat-spotlight-running-backs

PFF Elusive Rating, which pulls carries, receptions, forced missed tackles and yards after contact into a formula to calculate a rating similar to passer rating, is meant to illustrate a running back’s elusiveness in a singular number. The formula: (Forced Missed Tackles) / (Carries + Receptions) * (Yards After Contact per Attempt * 100).

Among the 51 NFL running backs with at least 100 total touches (rush attempts + receptions), Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Tony Pollard ranked first in PFF Elusive Rating at 116.1. He forced 26 missed tackles and averaged 4.51 yards after contact per rush attempt across his 101 touches in 2019.

BOOM! Proof Pollard needs to be used more...much more, regardless of how much Jerry is paying Zeke.

Why in the world would Jerry pay Zeke $90 million and then reduce his role on the team? I like Pollard and think he adds speed to the offense, something they really need in the backfield, but Jerry is going to want to get his $90 million worth out of Zeke. If they cut his carries to give the ball to Pollard than Jerry looks like an idiot for giving Zeke all that money. I think Jerry is an idiot for giving Zeke all that money, but that's another story.

I hope Mike McCarthy uses Pollard much more, both during the pass and run, regardless of how much Zeke is getting paid. We all can see how more potent this offense can become if Pollard is given more opportunities.

If Jerry doesn't like it, oh well, that's on him for overpaying Zeke.

WRONG.

Do these look like "garbage yards"??? Look at the game time clock on those plays.

Even on those fewer plays where Pollard actually runs late in the game during so-called "garbage time", can you imagine how more productive our offense would be to use Pollard much more early and often throughout games, than giving most of the carries to a slower and less productive Zeke?

Thanks for the video because it pretty much reinforced my point that a big chunk of his yards did in fact come in garbage time with us up by 3 or more scores in the 4th quarter against the fins, Gmen and the Rams to name a few. The 50yd run against the Rams late is a perfect example and there was at least another 100 yds in rushing when the games were out of reach. I loved what I saw out of him and he did make some great plays when the games were tight though. But I stand by my opinion that he is a potentially very good to great complement to Zeke. But there is no way could he sustain the workload that Zeke has.

WRONG. The Giants and Rams games runs were in the 1st half many times.

Lol! The Rams game alone he has 83 total yards on two plays when we were up by 25+ late in the 4th quarter.

Get back in your time machine and go change history if it's that important for you to be right because in this current timeline you're WRONG!

A majority of Pollard's runs in the video are between the 1st and 3rd quarters, far cry from your "garbage time" yards. Complain all you want, but the film doesn't lie. Go whine your lies to someone who cares.

People l laughed at the Kamara comparison but they really need to study how the Saints used Kamara two years ago and incorporate that. He's too good to just be a backup behind Zeke.

garrett was an offensive genius

how can Pollard hope to improve now that he’s gone

:omg:
