Home-made axioms

I make up axioms from observing life. I imagine other people probably do to, so this is a thread to put them in. Here's my first one:

Whenever you lose an idiot, that idiot will always be promptly replaced.

For example, you encounter some bozo going 50 MPH in the left lane on a freeway. They're in your life only for a short period of time and then you never see them again. However, you can be guaranteed to encounter another person just like it soon.

Your turn.

This is one of several I wrote long ago ...

"The end result is all that matters, unless you know the journey."

Examples ..

If you give a child $5 they are a happy. If you give a child $10, then ask for $5 back, they are upset.

If someone saves a life, they are a hero. If you learn they killed innocent lives to save that life, they are a monster.

My favorite one to ask myself. Too late. OK, when you decided to do this, EXACTLY, what were your other options?

Those who brag have nothing to brag about.
While you're reading your newspaper clippings there is someone out there working hard to beat you.
Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are.
The will to win will always beat the skill to win.
What were you thinking? Never mind. If you were thinking you would not have done it.
