No matter where you live, there will be people there who claim it's the greatest place on Earth.
One of my buds at work reversed that, sort of. There were a few of us drivers standing around talking, and he stepped in and said, "I was in the city today and some fat guy....no offense, Dave...."Whenever someone starts a sentence with, "No offense, but ..." they will say something offensive.
You use that as an axiom? No matter where you live, there will be people there who claim it's the greatest place on Earth.
You use that as an axiom?
Someone who says they do not understand why they cannot reach you by phone, it is obvious they do not understand Caller ID either.
Anyone who tells you some variety of "I choose to never have a bad day" is either a brazen liar, or totally delusional.
I mean--I get the whole "positive outlook" thing and candidly I should probably be more optimistic and thankful sometimes than I am. I can admit that honestly.
Same time--someone who tells you that "never having a bad day is merely a matter of attitude" is not dealing in reality. Sometimes, life happens. Sometimes, there are things beyond your control that will wreck a day and you have to grit your teeth and get through it and try to have a better day tomorrow.
But bad days still happen. To Everyone. Law of averages. And some people like to pretend that they don't happen to them, I think it's a way of insulating themselves against the reality of life. Like, if I pretend it didn't happen, then maybe it didn't happen. LOL
Anyways, as I'm sure you probably figured out, I had an awful day today. Pretty much nothing went right and pretty much everything I touched turned to crap. So maybe I'm a bit sensitive. Lord willing, tomorrow will be better....
That's true . Especially if some grew up in said hell hole and has a emotional attachment to it. I wonder if people who live in Chernobyl think it's the greatest place on earth though. It's true. The town could be an ugly hell hole that offers nothing, and there will be someone living there who thinks it's the greatest place on Earth.
Especially jaywalkers sho bring flowingPeople who walk very slowly across the road while traffic waits on them are very rude and deserve to be run over.
Especially jaywalkers sho bring flowing
Traffic to a standstill
If only that were true. From my mostly pessimistic outlook on life...
If you always expect the worst you’ll never be disappointed.
Oh...but it is! It’s taking me decades to master, even wrote a paper in college of the benefits of being a pessimist. Ya get that? I wrote a positive thinking paper on pessimism! If only that were true.
