I didn’t bold it I copied and pasted it. It was already bolded. Google “what’s the most guaranteed money ever paid to an NFL player” and the Matt Ryan contract appears.

Lol it literally says “at the time” then immediately after says Goff got 110. Russ also got 107 and Carson got more.

105 is still a lot

He most definitely did. I know you didn't watch them play but you at least saw the Rams/Cowboys game right? You witnessed Gurley and CJ Anderson running down our throats correct? Or let me guess......Goff was the one who killed us because of his last run on 3rd down lol. What happened prior to that meant nothing I guess lol.

Gurley and CJ Anderson running down our throat killed us as did that key third down that Goff picked up late in the game. That sealed it!

Then again, how did he outperform Dak? Dak has better stats, more wins, more playoff appearances, and played better head to head in the playoff game.
Goff easily outplayed Dak in that game. Dak did nothing and was terrible.
Dak doesn’t have better stats than Goff either. Goff had top 5 stats over both 2017 and 2018 while Dak was a game manager until last year when he became a garbage time game manager. Stop pretending you know anything about football.

Gonna take more. Not much. But what’s the length. 3 years or 4...

So you don't think being down 23-7 killed any chance of us coming back lol?

That was in the third quarter and we crawled within8 points prior to the 4th quarter. Give it up! Lol

You can always tell who the clueless trolls are who don’t watch the games. Goff easily outplayed Dak in that game. Dak did nothing and was terrible.

Goff is 2-1 against Dak including a playoff win. Goff has a 2-2 playoff record compared to a 1-2 playoff record for Dak. Goff has led his team to the Super Bowl while Dak hasn’t gotten the Cowboys past the divisional round.

I’m looking through the discussion and some of you really want the money added from Daks previous 4 years for exceeding his contract to be added to the current contract?

When any of you has been up for promotion, do you really ask them, “hey, I was your best guy the past 4 years so I want to be compensated for those years on top of my promotion or what I’m making on my next.” If that would be the case, every player with a new contract that has over exceeded would be the highest paid at their position. That’s bad business.

That’s just not how life works. We work hard through our lives and I’ve never heard of being compensated for my time in high school and college. “Hey I was top of my class in college”, you’re hired but even then you don’t get compensated (money) for the hard work you put before that. If you’re lucky you get a job that sees what you do and gives you bonuses for exceeding.

You do the work, you get a job at a great place, do great there and get promotions. Each time starting with better pay. Your hard work is what gets you noticed to get to the position you’re at.

I don’t care that Dak got paid peanuts his first 4 years. He has gained a lot as a 4th rounder. So whatever he’s getting 33-35/year is fine. Not 33-35 + 6/year for previously exceeding. Like what!? Lol

If I Was some of the other scumbags on this site they would've berated you or called you out of your name.

Haven’t seen one do it yet. I’m calling it the way it is, you’re the one making ridiculous comparisons. No one is making a bigger deal about this than you.

He didn’t out perform him in the playoffs when it mattered most. He didn’t get to a Super Bowl and Goff did. Reaching Super Bowls earns a QB money unless we’re talking Trent Dilfer.

Did you watch Goff play in the playoffs?

Dak has outperformed Goff in the playoffs.

Goff’s team has outperformed Dak’s in the playoffs.

There is a difference.

NO ITS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Goff and wentz are getting $34m a year and made almost $15m more just from their initial 1st round contracts compared to what dak has been paid. Dak's numbers are better than Wentz's and Goff's. Why should he take less money? It's not Dak's fault this team had terrible contracts in Romo and Dez that they had to eat so they couldn't sign any big free agents to make the team better on his rookie cheap labor deal.

Wentz got an average of $32 million and Goff got $33.5 million. But just because the Rams were stupid enough to pay Goff $33.5 million doesn't mean the cowboys should pay Dak more. If you were buying a new car and some guy went to the same deal and paid the list price for the same car, would you pay list or try to bargain him down a little? If anything, the Goff contract is a reason the Cowboys should not pay Dak more than $33 million. The only issue Dak might have with his contract offer is the guaranteed money. Goff got $110 million and Wentz $107 million.

In my opinion the Cowboys offer is in the right ball park. They could go up a million and add a few million to the guaranteed money and it would be more than fair to Dak. But paying him the reported $40 million he asked for would be more absurd than what the Ram paid Goff.
