Nice, but how was that offer structured? It could have been one of those offers that looked great on average, but was structured in a way that he could be let go after a couple years without getting anywhere near the full contract amount. $22 million a year does not tell the whole story. How much is guaranteed? How many years? It could be the Commanders would only offer 4 years or perhaps less guaranteed money. Guaranteed money is a big deal in these contracts.
