PFF had his overall score at 72.5 which is solid. I’d question his ability against the run since he started at DT for Carolina and they had the 4th worst run defense in the league. May be good for passing downs. This teams really needs a run stopping DT though.

I hope he’s cheap. Big name, older player. Reminds me a little bit of a Jason Witten type of signing.

I hope it’s cheap and he becomes the next Quinn.

Jason witten type signing? Stop it. Witten wishes he could be anywhere near as productive as McCoy is

Please don't stop at McCoy

Cutting Crawford saves 8 million. Go grab someone like Danny Shelton, Quinton Jefferson, Michael Pierce, Shelby Harris

Even a solid veteran rotation peice like Margus Hunt would be nice addition

This. Mccoy was a good addition, but he is 32 and on the decline as is anyone in their 30s. Need a big run stuffer. Need to hope Trysten can step up and rotate with Mccoy

overall excited about the signing though. Never trusted Maliek

He's not better than Collins at this stage. He's maybe on par but with the arrow down. Collins is young enough to out play him this year.

The more I think about this move I get an urge to switch teams.
McCoy is light years better than Collins vs. the run and I would probably get to the QB more than Collins did, so this is an upgrade.

Danny Shelton is a 26 year old 340lb run stuffer. He would be a great addition and wouldn't be expense (cut crawford and get Shelton).

The Cowboys have agreed to terms with defensive lineman Gerald McCoy on a three-year deal, according to a source. Like all these deals, it's pending a physical. McCoy started every game last season for Carolina after a nine-year run with Tampa Bay. He has 59.5 sacks in his career and has recorded at least five sacks in each of the last eight seasons.

Gerald is a good dude, solid player. He's just getting close to the end of his career. 2020 will be his 11th season. I'm not so sure how much we can rely on him.

Good player. Nice pickup. Reminds me a bit of getting Quinn last year.

No complaints on him.
