Both of these guys were well known being former first rounders. They are not the same at this point.

I don't think I've ever seen a team acquire two different DTs from the same team that sported a 32nd ranked run D...and then consider it a good thing. I'm surprised most of the comments about this seem positive. People must be name-starved or something...or just DT starved.

Different scheme. They rotated a lot there . Plus when Poe missed 5 games they gave up an extra 50 yards a game in the run game. PLUS it would be an upgrade over what we had here last year.

I think he’s asking for 12m a year. He turned down a 14.5m player option with the Vikings- they probably would’ve cut him but who knows - he had a productive season and they’ve lost a lot of players this offseason.
They can’t realistically expect to pay much less. Even if they wish it to be so. Clowney asking for 18.5M, Quinn signing for way too much. Griffin would be a bargain at 12M compared to the other asking prices. The draft is pretty thin place to rely on for an end too.

Poe would be an awesome addition.
Im wondering if Tyrone Crawford has gotten notice yet?
I doubt we are getting Griffin. But if we can that would be great and Randy Greogory is on his way back.
So its really up in the air
Know the Cowboys have to draft 2 CBs and S and a swing CB\S
Helman & Broaddus seem to think that Crawford is safe (too valuable, under-rated by fans) More likely he negotiates a lower salary.

Mike Nolan:
How do you see the difference between playing a 3-4 and a 4-3? I’ve always believed it’s about getting your best 11 on the field. From there, whether that entails you call yourself a 3-4 or 4-3, you want to get your best 11 out there. After that, it’s just spacing. You can line up in 3-4 personnel and some teams do and it looks just like a 4-3.
