Also takes pressure off the draft where you don't have to take a DT or DE early. Now the board opens up more to allow you to take BPA at WR or CB or S or DT or DE.
And we all know which of those positions sells the most jerseys. Stop gaps which these are because of three straight mediocre drafts only last so long.

Meh, He’s a Poe man’s Harrison.

Harrison has been talking about retirement so I would rather stay away from him. Poe missed 5 games in 2019 so he has that question mark. Here is quick comparison of the two.

Harrison is 6'03" 351 lbs - 31 years old - Last year in 15 games he had 527 defensive snaps with 49 tackles with 2 sacks and 4 tackles for loss

Poe is 6'03" 346 lbs - 29 years old - Last year in 11 games he had 402 defensive snaps with 22 tackles with 4 sacks and 6 tackles for loss

If Poe is healthy then I would definitely go that route.

Good news for LVE and Smith. If all goes as planned they will be running free to the ball alot this season.

Yes, this nails it. While I’m not exactly jumping for joy about the player, the strategy makes me happy. I’m so glad the era of undersized DTs is over. That begs the question, of course, what will we do with Trysten Hill?

Hill will be looked at as a developmental guy. If he cannot develop into at least a solid rotational guy, he won't last.

Both of these guys were well known being former first rounders. They are not the same at this point.

I don't think I've ever seen a team acquire two different DTs from the same team that sported a 32nd ranked run D...and then consider it a good thing. I'm surprised most of the comments about this seem positive. People must be name-starved or something...or just DT starved.
