As would I.......I'd also choose dog crap over horse crap but I don't want either crap lol. Not to say McCoy and Poe were crap......I simply don't know. I know McCoy at one point in his career was one of the better DT's in the league. Poe has been solid throughout his career as well.
Kawaan Short was injured and they really missed Thomas Davis. Among other things.

I am and the Mayors for all the triad has come out with the lock down.

Yeah, I just found out some info from the wife. She said a rep from cone health came to her office today and told her they had to shut down starting Friday. She also told my wife that a lock down would go into effect on Friday and the National Guard was going to be ensuring people got their basic needs supplied to them. Now... I can't vouch as to the validity of all that, but I thought I would pass it on to you. Take care and try to stay healthy.

I never said it meant anything. I asked a question. I asked what was the reason for this? Because I do believe there's a reason for everything. McCoy is a good DT. Poe is a good DT. They got ran all over so I asked what happened there. I didn't see enough Panthers games to know.

In b4 “they ran wherever McCoy and Poe weren’t. They never gave up anything.”

I said where did I compare the Cowboys to the Panthers? That's what you accused me of correct?
And I just gave you the answer. You are comparing the Panthers defensive rushing stats to the two new players the Cowboys got from the Panthers. Look man don't try to play me for some idiot. You know exactly what you posted and that is why I gave the response I did. Now I'm not going back and forth with you anymore about this. if you don't understand what you posted then that's on you.

They played a 3-4 defense with crap linebackers (other than Luke K) and crap safeties. McCoy played out of position and still had a PFF run D grade of 77 (Maliek collins had one of the lowest in the league at 53). Jaylon smith had 100% identical stats to Luke Kuechley last year. Our linebackers can FLY so this is going to be great.
I live about an hour from Charlotte. So I hear a lot about them. Their new owner,Tepper, wanted to run the 3-4. Just wasn’t a good fit with their personal. My Panthers’ friends don’t like Tepper

Soooooo we're just supposed to believe that Eric Reid, Luke, Shaq Thompson, and Tre Boston all are "crap".

Also a reminder to everyone not to base a linebackers play off of their amount of tackles
Yea I like our LB and DB core more than there’s. What do you want to base it off of - Jaylon had more tackles and 2.5 more sacks and 1 less INT

Two-gap responsibility could be the primary reason. DEs and NTs in the 3-4 are charged in run defense with taking up blockers so the linebackers can run to the ball. They are essentially blocker magnets unless Carolina was running a hybrid 3-4 like Wade Phillips'.

There's two ways you can get hurt by the run in the typical 3-4 alignment. Either your tackles aren't good enough to force the offense to maintain double teams, so the linebackers can't stay clean. Or the linebackers aren't good enough to fill the gaps created by the double-teams.

Depending on which version of the 4-3 we run, at least one of the tackles should have one-gap responsibility. One of the problems for us last year was whichever tackle was single-blocked couldn't regular disrupt opponents' running game. Woods did a better job of it than the others, but he was doubled a lot on running plays.

Games that Poe played, they averaged 50 less yards per game on the ground. Tells you something about the value of Poe
A guy that fat could just stand there, you would think

I saw absolutely horrendous LB play from our guys last year especially against the Vikes and Packers. They play too soft and won't stack thus getting run out of the play by the OL's shadow. Call me crazy but that is my biggest concern right now.

I think the big question and concern that all of us have is just how much does these two have left in the tank?

Panthers ran a 3-4 with Poe on the nose and McCoy at end.

Both will be back to their more natural positions in Dallas. Plus, Poe missed five games and McCoy was rotated out regularly.

That's fine(although misguided), but that's not what you had said initially.

Base it off their play. You used PFF to make of point about McCoy vs Collins.
Kuechly PFF- 85.4 almost elite
Jaylon PFF- 70.2

Basing a LBs play off of how many times they tackle a runner five yards downfield or allow a reception then tackle them after the completion isn't the way to go.

Let’s see what Jaylon does with actual DTs in front of him now big guy.
