If he can stay healthy, I think he starts in the spot Sean Lee vacates next season. Kid can play all 3 spots though and if there’s a scenario in which LVE’s career is cut short, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gifford become a solid replacement. Kid can run, has a nose for the ball, and is a sure tackler

He reminds me of a guy that is actually playing for fun and not money, whether or not it's true. He is always around the ball making plays. We need more guys like that. They should have found ways to get him on the field last season after he showed what he could do in preseason. I wouldn't mind seeing him either at safety, rotational LB, or special teams. He'll be a starter somewhere soon.

Paradox love the uniforms in your avatar, those are my 2nd favorite after the darker pants and darker jerseys like in the SB lost to the colts. Wish they would go back to either on the blue uniforms.

He kept getting hurt which is his big negative.

I agree, those SB uniforms were perfect! But I think the lighter color blue throws people off. I have a Staubach jersey in that color, and ironically have been accused of being a Colts fan while wearing it on multiple occasions!

So what are your thoughts on this guy?i was kinda stoked for him in preseason then I think I got hurt

I got some hope for him and the safety that had 3 picks Wilson was it?

I really like him but I have to wonder where he fits. You have Lee, Vander Esch, Jaylon Smith and Joe Thomas (who would probably start for 15 teams in this league). As much as I love Lee, I’m surprised he was resigned frankly.

He's a poor man's Lee. Always injured.

I think he has talent but hopefully he can shake the injury but or he has a shot at our 2020 Matt Johnson award

You’re a good poster, but every time you’re about to really give a good write-up on a prospect, you get injured.

Shame that you might never reach your potential but you can’t write from the trainer’s table.

Actually, wouldn't that be the "perfect" replacement for Lee considering his injury history?

I do like the player though. He seems to just enjoy playing out there.

Hopefully he comes on enough to remind us why it's a silly use of resources to pay 4.5M to a guy who you hope will stay healthy enough to be your 3rd best LB. Our team's obsessive hemorrhaging of resources at the 4-3 LB position is unwise. It's the easiest area of the defense to fill.
