Now put up the that same thing for games missed from suspension.

Then put up TD numbers.

Now imagine what Zeke would do behind the line of some team like the Cardinals or Chargers and how many records those other RB's would break behind the Cowboys Oline.
I think you can say the same thing about this line. This line looked far better with Zeke than it did with Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden.

No one said he's not a good player.

The issue is how important is having a highly drafted and now exceptionally highly paid TB to a team's success?

The answer is it's debatable that you need that much invested in running backs to be a good team.

Randle was a joke. And yah, McFadden actually looked good behind this line. OR don't you remember? And certainly Murray made Zeke look like a chump rushing for 1800 yards behind this line.

McFadden ran for over 1,000 yards and had a 4.6 ypc total in 10 games started in 2015. Elliott's career ypc is 4.6.

People continually understate how effective McFadden was.

Oh and he did that with crap at QB.

I didn't say McFadden didn't look good with this line. I said Zeke looked better with this line than McFadden did. Murray was a one year wonder. This is not the same line as back then. Martin, healthy Tyron, healthy Fredericks and Leary?

McFadden also only had 3 touchdowns though. Zeke has never had less than 9 touchdowns in a season. McFadden was a pleasant surprise but his production has never been close to Zeke.

Yah, but not sure your point. Zeke is a better back than Murray so of course he will look better.

Murray never got the carries or the line again that he had in Dallas.

You don't rush for 1800 yards on a fluke.

I was actually a proponent of letting Murray walk and not paying him 6 million. But if I had known that we would use the 4th pick on the draft, I would have told them to resign Murray. Murray would have probably gone onto be one of the better backs in Cowboys history.

The significance of McFadden running well behind the line showed that any average back can look good behind the Dallas line.

Zeke had 6 rushing TD's in 2018 with something like 350 carries and 1400 yards. Which is pathetic actually. Zeke should have 15 total TD's minimum and be hitting the 20 total mark.

If he has as good as some people say he is.

Zeke is a bell cow, no matter what the haters say.
I think people got really upset with him for holding out when he still had a few years on his contract. But I mean, what else was he gonna do when everyone is talking about paying everyone else except you and running you to the ground and letting you walk lol. Zeke did what’s best for him, as many in that position would. I’m not worried about his money, I just like watching him play

Well that's my point. I don't think this offensive line is nearly as good as you are giving it credit for. That same offensive line got Dak sacked 50+ times in 2018. And if I'm not mistaken....Frederick didn't even play in 2018 correct? This offensive line at its peak was 2014. The second best in 2016. ITs been downhill since then.

9 points in NFC East Championship game. 3 field goals.

How many 100 yard games does he have in the play-offs? Also, what are his pre-$108 million contract and post-$108 million contract splits on career numbers?

No, I agree. 2018 was a lean year without Frederick and with Williams. But last year, the line was very good. 2017 it was definitely not as good as injuries also took its toll.

2016 was the peak year for me.

Zeke doesn't show up in big games. Heck, I cant remember one game last year where he actually dominated.

Murray was a very good back proof by what he did with the Titans who also have a good offensive line. The amount of yards is a fluke. 1800 yards is a fluke year. That is not the ceiling.

If you acknowledge Zeke is the better back. But you keep comparing him to McFadden and Murray and I'm not sure what the point is.

Would’ve had 3 rushing titles in his first 3 seasons if it wasn’t for Roger Goodell handing out the worst suspension in nfl history. No proof that Zeke touched his ex-gf and 4 of her friends flat out said she was lying. A change in offensive scheme last year turned this team into a pass first team and Zeke still finished 5th in rushing yards. The other thing people never really mention about him - he’s the best blocking HB in football and he’s a beast of a receiver out of the backfield. He’s worth every penny that they are paying him. Also, his cap hit this year is only 10.9m

This may be true.

Also true though - some people on this board roll with "she's lying" every time a player is accused of domestic violence.

Zeke is also one of the best at blocking in pass protection, a very unrecognized attribute by a RB.

I wasn’t there and I don’t like to chime in with whether he did it or not but when 4 of her friends say she flat out lied and charges were dropped, I just don’t understand how you can suspend a guy for 6 games - but it’s over.

McFadden played with QBs that teams didn't respect when they got into the red zone.

The reality is that McFadden was far more effective than you think and the fact he was even as effective as he was showed how good the OL was. I mean he ran for 4.6 ypc, 1000 yards and with zero QB help.............. how is that not a testament to how good that OL was?

It is a testament to how good it is. I'm not disagreeing with that. Never said it was a bad line. I've said that in 2014 that's probably our best offensive line to date. Everyone was young and not injury riddled. That line you see in 2014 is not the same line you saw in 2019 and it hasn't been.
