Who is the 3 CB in this class?

This looks like a year with only 2 potential lockdown CBs, but nearly a dozen decent starters at CB.

Diggs and Fulton are two guys who I think have been slept on hard in this process. Fulton looks like a steady Eddie, 2 years of good production and above-average athleticism. He seems kind of Byron-ish in that his game is pretty quiet and built around forcing incompletions, but I don't see quiet at CB as a bad thing at all. Diggs looks like a press-only corner, but a good one. They both look like no-risk Day 1 starters to me.

I think Jaylon Johnson and Damon Arnette are right on par with both of them as well. Johnson looks like a safe starter as well, really natural in zone and a 60th percentile athlete. Arnette is your boom-bust gamble this year. 4.56 40 and questions about his off-field behavior, but there's lots of times in press where he doesn't look that different from Okudah.

I think that all of Johnson, Fulton, and Diggs are turn of the 1st type picks, and Arnette is your "do you feel lucky, punk" guy, where he's got a huge range of outcomes and it depends on which team will be comfortable taking a chance on him. None of them are guys I'd want at 17, but I'd really be considering all of them around 25. To be honest, I think the first round talent cliff comes right at or after our pick.

Excellent insight. I agree about your top 4, but feel we might see more as it's always a position of high demand, especially with the edge class being very weak. What is interesting is the Cowboy Front Office has always coveted high level corners, add in that the Packers have a history of using high picks on corners, suggests they may go in that direction. Hearing them involved to Harris/Trufant, also suggests that where they are leaning.

Gladney is the ballhawk type they've said they're looking for, Teams quit throwing in Johnson's direction his last season, Diggs would be good but he didn't time at the combine, and Terrell rounds out the list.

Overview
Press cover irritant who plays an extremely competitive brand of football from snap to whistle. He has the twitch and route anticipation to stay close. Possesses ball skills to contest a good percentage of throws. His coverage traits should allow him to thrive in man or zone, but his desire to make every play on the ball could lead him into occasional bait-and-switch traps by smart quarterbacks. He's slender so teams will need to decide whether to play him outside or in sub-packages, but no matter where he plays, this ball-hawking alpha has the talent to help his team on all three downs if needed.

This is really the only CB I feel good about. Diggs, Terrel, Fulton--not a big fan

Most people have Fulton pretty high but NFL really dinged him.

Overview
Press-man cornerback whose 40 percent rate of completion as an LSU Tiger may not tell the entire story as an NFL prospect. Fulton has good size and is usually searching to make plays on the football. He plays with decent eye balance in off-coverage but can be a tad late with response time. Once he gets behind he tends to stay behind against multi-breaking routes and his long speed and recovery burst are below average. Fulton showed improvement throughout the year, but his confidence has been an issue at times. When the pros and cons are balanced, he appears to be a good backup with a chance to work up the ladder.

As each day passes, it is looking more likely that CJ Henderson will not make it to pick #17. Reports state he has strong tape and had a great combine workout. The team may be looking at the third best CB, WR, DL at 17. In my opinion, CB is their biggest need, who is # 3 in the class?
ude, what about all the QB’s that are gonna go before we pick? If Henderson’s gone maybe we get lucky and get Kinlaw. We WILL get somebody at 17 we didn’t think would be there. Heck, we may even trade up. We don’t know what’s going to happen.

I believe one of these guys will be there at 17. If it's someone we aren't interested in we could leverage a trade. Otherwise we could get good value with the pick as they say.
1 Young
2 Okudah
3 Brown
4 Simmons
5 Burrows
6 Chaisson
7 Wills
8 Tagovailoa
9 Lamb
10 Jeudy

Take any ranking of corners, and you could make a case at #3 for almost any of the top-10 outside of Okudah and Henderson.

Excellent breakddown. Let;s hope Swift, Queen are taking, but have my doubts.

My worry is, so many teams need corners, if there is a run within the top 50, Cowboys might be left with scraps at the position.

When it comes down to it, I think our pick is going to be one of Ruggs, Kinlaw, Henderson, or Chaisson
