That kind of emotional lash out is exactly the nonsense some fans read into and parrot. Catch phrase by sheepy catch phrase.

You didn’t even watch Raiders game to know this quit spewing garbage you’ve read in Oakland Raider forums......

Nice assumption. Except coaches commented on it, except Cooper led the league twice in drops, except just baseline stats alone show he did the same with Oakland.

Oh, and since it's the current year - there are ways to watch film on players from the comfort of your living room. Try it so you don't hop into discussions with a lack of knowledge.

I'm hoping this motivates him. That and a new coaching staff. He was just called a turd on national tv. his response to this is telling. Good football player, just always seems like he rather be doing something else. Was the same deal in Oakland. Turd was the wrong term, lol but Rex was giving an opinion on a player who portrays a very nonchalant attitude no matter the situation.

What he's saying isn't wrong but his delivery comes across as if Cooper is a bum. HE's not. This is the type of energy you should have for Antonio Brown or someone. This team as a whole struggled on the road last year. Hell they struggled in general. Dak, Zeke, Amari...it was a collective effort.

And Dak is my guy but to sit there and say "That's the guy you should pay!!!" but then dog out Cooper makes no sense to me. The asme things he's saying about Cooper can be said about Dak.
very true . Amari has issues, jason is gone, but dak has issues and amari was brought in to give dak better targets.

You addressed nothing....

Explain it, or is that now all on Garrett your favorite former HC?

“What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without consideration.”

And I didn’t understand the relevance of the Garrett reference. Also, he’s not my favorite former anything. He’s a guy I defended a lot from stupid criticism that was generally asserted without evidence.

After watching Rex Ryan insult Amari Cooper, here is the response of reality.

First, I was upset that Cooper came off the field last play gasp for a Cowboys Playoff victory. However, after the game we found out he was taken off the field. We find out later he has had issues with the WR coach, Head Coach, and played injured for the team all year. Later we find out both WR coach and Head Coach is gone and Cooper has a new 5 year $100M deal.

Many people talk about Cooper has not performed well against top corners. Well here is how Jalen Ramsey explained his match up with Cooper; “In my opinion, I think he’s one of the most underrated receivers in the league,” Ramsey said in the locker room Thursday, via ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry. “And that comes off of experience. Like, if I haven’t played a guy I can’t say that but I played him my rookie year, and this is what I always say: Stats can lie to you. If you look at the stats of me versus him that game, he had one catch for 4 yards, so it looks like I won the matchup, right? But if you actually turn on the film and look at it, he was eating me up all game long – especially on the line with his releases. I was overly aggressive and he was really killing me at the line. It was just at the time basically picking on the corner on the other side.” After the game Jalen was right. Cooper had 1 catch 19 yards but Cowboys won by 20 points this time 44-21.

Rex Ryan who has been more successful as a Head Coach than Jason Garrett, forgot he is the type of coach who would not have taken Cooper off the field. Jason Garrett who has no innovation of scheming in the passing game line Cooper up out wide all the time like he did Dez hardly ever using motion. Rex Ryan also for got his pathetic offenses that could not get his great defenses past NE or to a Super Bowl. Rex Ryan would have traded his Dad for Amari Cooper to have been on the Jets and Bills. So, calling Cooper a turd is incredulous as Washington defensive minded Head Coach who got his team to the Super Bowl, won a Super Bowl as a player and got his team to a Super Bowl as DC tried to sign Cooper from the Cowboys. Ron Rivera has more respect in the NFL than Rex "I can't find a Job" Ryan.

So why did Cooper not fight to stay on the field in Philly. Well we have seen a WR fight to stay on the field and was taking off the field his reponse was totally different from Cooper but the same. Dez threw a tantrum wanting to win. Cooper stood defiant refusing water and silently pouting like Achilles in his tent. What did you want Cooper or Dez to do. Stay on the field until the get excorted off by the police, waste time and get a delay of game penalty, or tell the offense to rush the play for his benefit that could lead to a bad play. Think of the media response if he would have done that?

Cooper is unique in the style of Marvin Harrison. You are not going to see the trash talk, and street balling. The problem is the Cowboys did not have Tony Dungy on the sideline or neither Steve Mariucci. Mariucci left TO on the field after having the wost game of a no.1 WR in the history of football in the playoffs. On the final play of the game after numerous drops, TO double clutches a catch between 2 defenders colliding him like meat in a sandwich. He catches it and goes off the field crying with the win for his team.

The Cowboys were 1-5 before trading for Amari Cooper. They then go 9-1 starring Cooper and Cooper in the playoff game verus the Rams Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib puts up 6-65-1 TD. Cooper has had 2 consecutive Pro Bowls, and has posted +200 yard games vs. Green Bay and PHilly.

Cooper is worth every copper penny he got from Jerry Jones.

If anyone is looking for the "turd", that's where to find it. That whole network is now one, big turd.

:espn:

If they lose MNF, I'll be able to say I never watch ESPN.
I've had NFL Network since its beginning.

Sadly, it did pull me away from other sports.
I used to follow MLB starting back in the days of
George Brett and Mike Schmidt. I loved the NBA
and NCAA Basketball. I stopped when Jordan won his
last title. Yeah, I caught a few games of him with the
Wizards, but I didn't run to the TV to watch it.

Now, I'm not sure I can name 20 players in either league.
Mostly, because ESPN sucks... lol

Maybe exactly what Amari needs to hear in order to step up his game and become that #1 reciever.

Amari Cooper was hurt all year last year. In the offseason it was reported he had plantar facitis. Not sure what happened with that report but it was reported he played hurt all year last year.

My point is, you can't say Amari didn't deserve to get paid because he didn't play well on the road or against tough competition and then say Dak deserves to get paid when eh had the same issues as did the rest of the team.

They definitely do. Amari is a weird player to have a agenda against though.

In the offseason there were a bunch of reports about how Amari was hurt. I even heard plantar fasciitis. Then when the season comes.....there's rarely reports about those injuries. The narrative is he sucks but there's no mention of him playing hurt and not using that excuse.

And I can't fault him for what happened in Oakland. A bad team and bad organization.
So Amari had continued problems with plantar fasciitis throughout the regular season, even though there was no mention of it? Plus, even if he did have lingering effects, Amari said "it's no big deal" since he's had to deal/play with this in seasons past like his rookie year in Oakland where he dealt with it all season, yet still was able to catch for over 1,000 yards and 6 TDs. He even said this problem goes all the way back to his college years while in Alabama. WTH???

https://cowboyswire-usatoday-com.cd...2019-preseason-heel-injury-plantar-fasciitis/

So as we can all now see, the Cowboys failed terribly at not doing their homework before using a super costly 1st round pick on a WR who has lingering foot problems and has had them since college. No wonder Oakland was quick to get rid of him after only a few seasons. They got the best end of the deal BIG TIME by getting our 1st round pick for a damaged goods WR with bad feet!!!

What's even worse is the Cowboys giving him a 5 year/$20 per year new contract recently AFTER KNOWING NOW ABOUT HIS RECURRING FEET PROBLEMS! Yet, for this you want to cover up for him, and even worse, compare Dak to Amari???

Sorry, bro, but you've lost this debate. You're defending the indefensible and allowing your love of the player to blind you from the drastic facts that show the Cowboys made a huge mistake.

I think it's fair to say cooper has been far more successful as a player than rex has been as a hc. Makes a lot more money, too.

Unlike some fans, I like his temperament.
