I've been a longtime member here, ever since 2004 or so, but haven't been as active in recent years.

There's so much hostility here these days, even more so than before when we had a certain board containing certain subject matter removed, I just can't deal with it especially with everything going on these days. I just hope we can have football soon, and you all stay well.

But there is just as much, if not more, concern and kindness here but you have to seek that out.

I have read some of your posts and have seen the reaction from some and it might be an excuse to say the times have created that because several were self important aholes before this bug ever showed up.

DIAF, your call but this forum is just like a bowl of mixed nuts. I am not fond of all the nuts so I pick through them to find the cashews, hazelnuts and pecans. And just like that bowl of nuts, if I allow it to, those brazil nuts, my least favorite, can stick out too much.

Hell if I'd let some jerks run me off. I am here because of the people I DO like.

This is reaching Guinness World Record potential for the longest farewell party. Fare the well, gentle @DIAF. We knew you but a short time and the rowdy denizens of our sweet hamlet brought more grief than you could handle. I'll bet @kskboys was in on it. He is known to drop his drawers from time to time and doesn't care who's looking.

Nay nay, my fair damsel, the ribald ksk always knows when the orbs of the innocent are upon him. That is when his ribaldability is at it's peak. And why he hath found favor with us.

Ok, it looks like our pleas of "please don't go" and don't think I didn't think of posting KC and the Sunshine Band, as if I'd miss the chance to do that.

So, I'm thinkin', and this is usually what starts it all downhill, why let a perfectly good Goodbye thread go to waste? We don't get many of them, mainly because they fire up a significant number of posters. Never can say goodbye.

I don't think DIAF, Dak Is A Fool, would mind us borrowing his thread.

So, what else do you want to say goodbye to? I like social distancing as opposed to social intimacy and like the fact I don't have to cuddle or spoon at the supermarket any longer. Soooo, goodbye social intimacy.

You know, I think he really meant it when he said "goodbye". Let not this juicy thread languish or waste away! There's all manner of buffoonery to accomplish in the name of self isolation.
