Yeah Rex probably went a little too far in his criticism...especially since that word is typically used to describe players who have a questionable character off the field. I’ve never heard anything bad about Cooper in that area.

That being said, Rex could’ve just used different language to say the same thing. Something is missing from him. And I agree that I wouldn’t have given him that contract.

Crap has been leaked for a while from Oakland's camp that he's a lazy unfocused stonehands. Again, I still just don't get why people didn't listen to the context - Rex is pissed because Cooper lacks effort.

To me, if you aren't giving 100%, you're a turd. I think it's completely accurate here. I think Cooper has some character issues - it's like the polar opposite of diva, but still an extreme.

Typical personal insults to messenger since you don’t like the message. Can I play.

I think of you as a Bruce Jenner with Pom Poms.
You're a hypocrite.
There's literally nothing anyone could say to me that would offend me. Especially with the lame crap you attempt.

Amari.....….you have motivation now. There's a reason Rex Ryan isn't coaching in the NFL. Now show him why he shouldn't be an analyst.

He certainly disappears in some games. And simply doesn’t always appear to want to be out there.

But our QB needs him I guess. Our situation is a big Turd sandwich anyway. It’s not going to matter this year anyway as I don’t expect a season.

To me the next big discussion should be how will a canceled season effect contracts?

Will Rookies maintain another season on their 4 and 5 year contract status?

And will regular contracts be met with similar response. What will the effects be of a canceled season? Well, I think I’ve just created a new thread.

He's basically donald driver 2.0. Not flashy but textbook skills/routes, not vocal, fringe pro bowl level every year but will never be all-pro.

I'd rather him be a donald driver then someone slightly better but causes attitude/drama (aka most NFL #1 WRs)

You can inspire your team and not have attitude/drama.

I wouldn't take advice from Rex Ryan on anything. No matter what the topic is, Rex Ryan is selling Rex Ryan.

Cooper's contract is absolutely beautiful. It's probably one of the best-structured contracts that Jerry and Steven have ever signed, given it's overall value. The only way he ever sees more than 50% of the value is if he produces like he is worth a $100M contract. There's no question he has the ability to perform. If he does, Dallas will have a bargain in years 4 or 5 when considering the current escalation of salaries. If he doesn't perform, Dallas can cut bait with very little consequence in 2 years. How is that not ideal?

I used to be pretty heavily invested in contract structuring. I would spend countless hours arguing over contract structure, cap ramifications, and all the other cap nonsense. It wasn't until a month or so ago that I actually looked at Zeke's contract. I absolutely love it. I am just now looking at Cooper's contract, and I absolutely love it.

For as much as I have bashed them over the years, I have to give them credit now. Jerry and Steven are doing a fantastic job with large contracts.

He's a more reserved guy. He's not a rah rah guy.

This is the most you can get and I'm fine with that.

I'm not saying he has to pull out a phone from the goal post. But a #1 ANYTHING should be a leader. A leader inspires a team. Is acting like you'd rather take a nap after a TD good for the team?

But year I liked your photo and comment. Nail hit.

We overpaid for Zeke and now Coop as this is the price one pays when their QB is inept of talent.

P.S. Even with Zeke and Coop we still can't score against playoff teams....

Your ability to make everything about Dak is amazing, in an obsessive sort of way. :muttley:

Jerry wants his "new triplets" and would've overpaid Zeke & Coop no matter who played QB.

It's supposed to rain here tomorrow. Gotta be Dak's fault.

Didn’t say I agree with it. Just telling you it’s a high probability.

I completely disagree that "it's a high probability" too. In fact I will be shocked if this team takes a receiver early in this draft, shocked.

No one can question Amari's talent and when he's motivated he's one of the best receivers in the NFL. When he's not motivated it's easy to question the result.

My thought? Unless there is a winning culture in the locker room with strong leadership you don't get Amari's all. When you look at his career his best results came when teams were winning and his worst when they weren't. Yes winning cures a lot for any team, but Amari seems to get particularly dejected during these stretches. Instead of being part of the solution to fix the issues he let's it impact him. Granted he dealt with injuries last season, but it didn't seem like anything serious, and engagment wasn't there.

Good coaching can potentially keep him motivated.

Says a coach that has a losing record overall and never made it to the big dance with a team as a DC or a HC.

Tight window throw in stride

This is a classic case of ‘throwing a receiver open’. No QB in the history of the league could’ve thrown a better ball than that!

Dak is so close to becoming the best player in all of pro football. Will he ever realize his true elite potential?

Ok, I’m going to guess you just wanted to see if you could type that without laughing?

I mean you had to laugh...right?
