Pollard is a perfect compliment to Zeke. Thunder and lightning! They're both young and have potential to be one of the best running back duos the Boys have ever fielded.

But they need to address the O-line. There was depth and now there isn't. And Tyron Smith and his bad back will be 30 this year and I don't expect to see him 16 times.

Balance, speed, quickness and elusiveness but not much else.

Just like an illogical Cowboy fan. Sounds like Jerry isn't the only one distracted by shiny objects. Pollard, did good when called upon, on most of his carries. Ezekiel, did the same, for a full year, during his rookie season.

Sporadic moments of success, has led to this team, overvaluing many players. He is a good asset, that needs to be utilized wisely. Zeke, is the better overall back, and only Dallas fans would believe otherwise.

Zeke signed by September 4, before a single game from Pollard.

Can't tell now, but after having seen Pollard's season, I bet they *wouldn't* sign Zeke to an extension if he needed one this year.

But having said that, Zeke is signed, and he'll get the majority of the carries. Pollard, maybe 4-8 a game if they're both healthy and it's not a blowout.

They drafted Pollard to be a complement to Zeke. Pollard’s season was good but not great and he didn’t show he could be an every down starter. He got stuffed on several plays for no gains and losses where Zeke would have pushed the pile for some positive yards. We pounded Zeke into some brick walls last season and he made some positive yards many times. We’re having the same arguments about Pollard that we had with Troy Hambrick, Marion Barber and Felix Jones when they were backups.

As a Cowboy fan....I shouldn’t have to tell you what Zeke has done lol. You should know.
I know what he has done. I know what Pollard did also. And what Pollard did wasn’t because of what Zeke did.

Pollard is the more talented player, Zeke is the more well-rounded player. Interesting conundrum for McCarthy and Moore next season.

I think Pollard was drafted to be a complement to Zeke, and that's what he'll be, not a replacement lead back. He's the misdirection off of Zeke. Swing passes, jet sweeps, mismatch threat deep, a couple of sets of downs here and there, maybe a handoff or two from two back backfields.
Pollard was definitely drafted to be a compliment to Zeke. But turns out Pollard has a little Kamara in his game and ability. Zeke was smart to hold out for a number reasons and Pollard showing what he is capable of doing is one of them.

With that said Ive said since we named MM as HC that Pollard is definitely more of a West Coast type of RB that Zeke is. MM has said himself that he has never had a back like Zeke.

So just so we are clear....You do not feel that Pollard has more balance, speed and explosiveness than Zeke? You went off on an tangent without actually addressing what I said.

Never understood why its a knock on Zeke to understand the value of having a versatile RB2 on this team.
Maybe because Garrett was so vanilla that every offensive snap was telegraphed.
Versatility is essential to success, and Pollard brings that,, just SMH why some fans feel that Pollard is somehow a threat to Zeke.

Cowboys' fans are like a jealous spouse....you can only love one person at any given position...ever.

Early on Jones had a cut move and wiggle as he darted through a hole and lost it after Parcells jumped on him about the fumbling. He ran robotic after that. He seemed more worried about hanging onto the ball than making a play. He had the makings of developing into a great runner his first couple of years. He looked special in the game against Seattle.

Watching that makes me wish we’d go back to the throwback unis with the white helmets. Looked cool as hell.

I wonder if they view Pollard as a potential replacement for losing Cobb. I don’t mean he’ll play slot receiver, but I mean we’ll try to make up for some of the production we’ll be losing with Cobb by involving Pollard in the passing game more, rather than drafting someone like Ruggs in the 1st round.
IMO, even if you did nothing to enhance the WR corp better utilization of the TE & RB positions in the passing game could easily fill the void. I would even shock teams with Tackle eligible options. Imagine if the defense had to fear the T as well as Zeke & Dak in short yardage.

I gave credit to his success (balance, speed, explosiveness) means nothing compared to 4 years of wear and tear.

So you are trying to change the narrative of the subject so you do not have to admit that Pollard has better balance, speed and explosiveness than Zeke. Got it!

The fans wanted to move on from Emmitt because he was in decline and Hambrick was averaging 5.0 a pop. He was looked at as the better alternative until everyone saw he wasn’t nearly as effective as a starter carrying the load. It took only one season for Hambrick to flame out as the starter.

Are you speaking for yourself?
