OK that's one that was during training camp of 2018 and he visited but does not say if an actual offer was made. Even at that he still hasn't sign with any team since being released by saints and has resorted to a choreographed video begging for some team, any team to sign him and STILL no takers. You can dream of the pre 2014 Bryant all you want but that's not going to make him better TODAY.;

Did you get the link or you need more from NFL.com and other websites? Plenty of different sites you can watch the video, like I said a simple search would have shown you. You shouldn't lie about researching something when you clearly have not. Now go sit in the corner and think about what you have done

Yes and then you take the rose colored glassy you look through when looking at Bryant.

I say bring him in as a camp body and see how he does. If they bring him in then end up cutting him again, he'll get the picture.
But what if he out shines 90% of the receivers in camp??? Cut him anyway to make some weak point?? You cant tell me outside of Coop and Gallup, he couldn't be the 3rd best receiver we'd have. I gotta wait to see what the draft brings, but you get my point.

I wasn’t even gonna comment but you keep making up lie after lie when people keep proving you wrong, this is pathetic at this point. When did the Saints ever release Dez? The answer is that they never did. And the ravens offered him a multi year deal, in 2018 but he turned it down. Of course nobody offered him a contract last year, he was still recovering from his torn Achilles.

So. The same coaching staff played no part with Dak then? Makes sense.

Played a part in what? Falling apart? Choking yet again? Of course they played a part. Amari disappears, gets a gigantic raise and every excuse in the book. Dak disappears becomes the highest paid QB in football. I'm talking about bringing in Dez for vet minimum and that you have problem with? lol Cause of his time with Jason Garrett. Just a joke to begin with. A crap coach called out by countless players. Even Beasley said the same thing when he left. It's been over a decade of that! Like I said Dez was scapegoated out of town. The 2018 fall guy buying Jerry's pet project yet another year.

Witten is about 3 touchdowns behind him. How did he work out last year? After a year away from the game and a non repaired Achilles’ tendon

Come on. Now your'e just making stuff up. He tore his achilles in November and wasn't ready last season. September was only 10 months after the injury. The recovery for such an injury is usually a year or more. Which puts him right on target right now. That 8 months since September is a huge deal.

Lets look at some facts. Bryant hasn't played a single snap in two seasons. Bryant was never considered a fast receiver and has had an achilles injury and is 31 years old now and has to be even slower now. Bryant was never considered to be a good route runner. Bryant in his second to last season he played was one drop away from leading the league in drops. Bryant's last season he played he DID lead the league in drops. Now Bryant has been able to sign with any team at any time since the start of last season yet no team as even brought him in for a tryout. No team has shown any interest in Bryant. Bryant put together a choreographed video of him running some routes as a means to beg for a chance and still no takers.

You may think he's the Cowboys 3rd best receivers but the fact that professional teams haven't even contacted him in two seasons should tell you that your evaluation using a Bob Ueker saying in the movie Major League,is just bit outside.
.

How do you know any of this?

If Zeke and Dak petition for him and perhaps Dak wants to throw Dez a million from his contract let's get it done.

He's already working out with Dak too.

Looking at our depth chart, he's already our 3rd best WR:

Cedrick Wilson
Devin Smith
Ventell Bryant
Noah Brown
Tevin Jones
Jon'Vea Johnson
Lance Lenoir

It's happening Zoners. And I could envision him being a redzone monster vs a 3rd CB, LB, or S.

Instead of getting in the redzone, offense stalls, then settling for a FG... Nope. Throw up the X! :flagwave:

Even if we draft a WR relatively high, I expect we bring in a veteran possession WR to backup the starters and be the 3rd on passing downs.

Dez fits pretty well for that. And as you point out, he fills a redzone need of a more physical WR who can catch in a crowd.

I think it's likely. And catching balls with Dak is an audition *and* preparation that other potential candidates just won't get. Also, years of experience with Dak. If Dak had bad blood on a personal level, he wouldn't be throwing to Dez. Dak is at least checking him out.

After Gallup and Cooper, there's very little nfl experience. Smith is the most. I think he's backup speed for the outside. Dez can be backup possession.

After Wilson and Smith, yikes! It's a horde of disposable guys.
Ventell Bryant
Noah Brown
Tevin Jones
Jon'Vea Johnson
Lance Lenoir

For that matter, Wilson is pretty disposable too. Smith could be bumped by a quality speed draft pick. None of these guys should keep anyone off the team.

If Dez is slightly better than the promising young receiver, in just a few months that young receiver could very well progress into the superior receiver. There's also age and injury probability to consider. Salary too. What about special teams? Think Dez is going to cover a kick-off like that young #4 or #5 receiver.
He has no choice. He wants a spot on the team he has to play special teams like most 3rd and 4th receivers.

Dez may be making a comeback but it won't be with the Cowboys.

We're a bad fit *for Dez*, but the only teams he has mentioned are ones that previously offered him a contract - Dallas, New Orleans, Baltimore.

Brees is probably ideal as the QB, and they took a chance on him last time. Dez can be best used there (assuming they have a 3 or 4 slot for him, I don't know).

My post was two different thoughts tied together. Bring him back to see how he does. Which means if he does good then keep him. But if he doesn't accept the backup role or if he is disruptive then cut him. If they bring him in and end up cutting him then he should get the picture. His time in Dallas is done.

Bring him in as a camp body and see how he does. If they bring him in then end up cutting him again, he should get the picture.
