They guy has all the talent in the world. You get your best receivers out there. The kid can take the top off. Just needs to be healthy. He can score from anywhere. Slot, outside, reverse, over the middle whatever.

Retread? LOL The kid has been injured his entire time in the NFL. He has had ONE other team.
Smith doesn't have the quickness/agility for the slot.

Yah, that video really looked like he lacked speed and agility didnt it? Although I would agree that he is probably more suited for the outside.

And knowing how deep in love you were with Garrett, we know how deep you can go. :muttley::lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2:

As I’ve said many times, I didn’t “love” Garrett. I just ended up defending him from a lot of idiotic criticisms. But that’s, of course, irrelevant here. This is a thread where we’re discussing your dumb idea of making a disappointing draft bust on the back end of his deal with a second NFL team into the team’s unquestioned third WR...by playing him out of position.

Speed? Not sure what the relevance is. Speed and quickness are two entirely different facets.

Smith has been in the league a long time. Book is pretty much written on him. He's a deep threat. Highly unlikely he'd excel in the slot.

What it showed was that he did hurt his knee again like I said. As far as being a healthy scratch for a few games, sure that makes sense.

So is your analysis that he didnt play because he blew his chance?

I would think it much more likely that he was the backup to one of the outside guys.

I don't know why he didn't play. That's not information that has been made available to us.

We know that he played poorly against New Orleans as the No. 2 (as did the offense as a whole) and then he didn't get a chance again. That's really all we know. We don't know why Dallas chose to keep him inactive. It could simply be a matter of the personnel Dallas wanted to take to the games at the position. It could be a matter of the team not feeling he was playing as well as some of the other receivers. It could be a lot of things.

The one thing we can know is that he'll get his chance with this coaching staff and we'll see what he can do with it.

looks like the criticism was right on the money. That has been proven 100%.

and did your hero get a HC job as you predicted? Nope......laughably, there was one team that even remotely wanted the horrid Garrett. And it was for a coordinator position, which they will surely live to regret.

only thing idiotic was your laughable defense.

What book has been written exactly?

It’s almost creepy how closely you nailed me.
Smith is a dime-a-dozen NFL retread on his 2nd team who last year lost his WR4 job to another high-promise college player/NFL journeyman in Tavon Austin. He’s at an age and cost where he’s got a better chance of being off the roster than he does of being handed the WR3 role for a player who isn’t a slot WR.

I’m ok with you not buying it, but that’s the reality.

I'm okay with you being okay with me not buying it. But "reality". LOL....we'll see. I'm a little surprised no one has come up with the "give him to brady and The Pats and see what happens".

Stick to what I actually said, ok? It’s tedious to try to answer for things you misunderstood or took out of context.

Don’t try to downplay your love for Garrett.

In no way would I ever do that. My posts on Garrett are all there for the record. I encourage you to find the most ridiculous ones I’ve ever made.

I’m just not responsible for your inane interpretations of my actual posts. That’s fair, right?

Every laughable post you ever made defending the horrid Garrett was ridiculous. And yes they are all there.

but the all time laughable statement was when you said Garrett was a victim here in Dallas. That he simply didn’t have enough talent to do his job correctly.
