What were his statistics when we needed a play to extend drives? How many runs did he have over 39 yards? How many runs has he had over 39 yards since 2016? I expect more than what we get from him, especially with his volume.

a couple of games there, the jets and the vikings he was open and the qb missed him by about a mile. Those would have been plays to extend drives and win games.

A lot of that was connecting to Cooper (just noted how many times saw 19). Interesting stat and wouldn't have thunk it tbh.

"What are Dak's stats on downs 1-2?

It would appear he is not getting downfield alot..

that possibly he is not as productive there and then it makes everything be dependent on 3rd downs.

It would also indicate that on early downs passing is reduced to short throws"

That was your quote and your question. I gave you the answer to that question. You can do what you want to with that answer. You can spin it, ignore it, say "yeah but" and mover the goal post. As far as what you know after 50 years of watching them. I would say after 50 years and saying stuff like, "it would appear hes not getting downfield a lot" and "it would also indicate that on early downs passing is reduced to short throws", you havent learned much over 50 years.
I think you are fighting a losing battle here.

I went to college and studied psyche. In those classes I had to take a year of statistics to advance.

I was studying behavior modification in rats. I learned alot about stats. One thing is that you can pretty much make them say whatever you want by asking only one question.

Does A cause B equal C and are there any other variables atwork that effect C.

Your saying I am moving the goalposts is a typical answer to a science question you are not so hooked in to know how to find a real answer.

This is not your fault. Maybe I may have a bit more background about my vision of what I believe.

If you are happy with yours, fine. But try to stay away from the hollow critiques of others.

It anything, it highlights what you don't really know nor possibly understand yourself.

We will just agree to disagree.

Thanx for the exchange. I will follow your post going forward.

Now...about that "accuracy": Dislaimer: Yes...2018...not THAT long ago.

Lmao then a year later in October of 2019, he walked those back and said he was impressed with Daks improvement in those categories. All the to the tune of him calling for Dak to get paid.

If you want the official quote you gotta google it, it’s an interview from a site we can’t post here. Can’t even say their name lol

Hey now, you're supposed to believe every random Twitter nut job posting cherry-picked stats without a source.. don't be getting tricky on me.
Not only that but on 3rd and 4+ Dak only completed 59.5% of his passes altogether - so somehow we are to believe that of these 75 completions at a rate of 59.5%, and a conversion rate on these passes of 41% that he was accurate 64% of the time!

So he had that many drops on 3rd down and that many passes deflected, not counting the passes that were in-accurate that were caught!:omg:

Stats or no stats a quarterback that needs elite players in almost every position surrounding him in order to be an OK quarterback is nothing but a pretender

Now....I ain't saying 8-8 is all Dak. I'm just saying "the QB handles the ball the most and has the most responsibility".
Incorrect.

Last seasons 8-8 was on the failed head coach.

You can't blame Dak for the worst special teams in the league.

You can't blame Dak for the worst kicker in the league.

You can't blame Dak for the worst starting field position in the league.

PFR is overall. The stat posted was when thowing to the 1st down line. So all passes that are not to the marker arent counted in this stat posted
I understand that, but that means, by your exclusion there, that he was more accurate on 3rd and 5+ than he was on 3rd and less since his completion % is lower on an overall basis. His conversion rate on 3rd and 4+ was 41% so that means he had to have a ton of drops and knockdowns and does not account for passes caught that were inaccurate.

It does not add up! Does not pass the reasonableness test.

For what was at the time highest paid runningback ever at $108 million, I expect 2000+ yards, 20+ TDs and 100+ catches. Not to mention better than an 8-8 record and non runs longer than 38 yards.
You want all of that with a beatup OL, a QB with an injured shoulder and a dysfunctional coaching staff in 2019?

Oh my..

Get this guy some smelling salts or a big fat Dobie.

Not sure which.

Also where was Dak in the games hitting these 3rd down passes and other plays when we’re not scoring until late. I’m not blaming just Dak but the whole offense didn’t do much until late in games against good teams and the other team had taken the foot off our throats. We have too much invested in the offense of side of the ball for them to stall out much of the game. I am hopeful a new coaching staff changes all this.

Makes it harder to verify, and the "to the line" is more cherry picking. I assume this is next-gen stats based then?

I want Dak to become the highest paid player in NFL history just so I can see how all of his haters react.

Thanks for your education background and congrats, but I dont need it and doesnt mean you know more or im fighting a losing battle.

When you ask a question, then give what you THINK the conclusion will be, then the answer doesnt match up with your ASSUMED conclusion, then you then move on to another subject, that is moving the goal post. Lol Or you can call some educated term, but us less book educated people call it moving the goal post. I agree, we will agree to disagree.
