Does any team that claims to have an elite quarterback need to surround him with a 1 at rb and 2 1s and a 3 at wr?

The point of having an elite quarterback is to multiply the effect of the guys around him. Not vice versa.

Still hope Lamb is awesome. He probably will be.

Lol.

Sorry Jerrah. Not sure how valuable a 3rd receiver is in the first round when you just paid $100M to your #1 WR and you also have another guy that will probably command more looks in Gallup. The right call would have been to trade down for more value. I'm not questioning the guy's talent but the return he will provide when Dallas is a run first with Zeke.

My only issue is the blocking with Williams and Looney. All the weapons go by the wayside if the pass blocking goes back to 56 sacks allowed.

I wanted D but you can't argue with best player available when it's that big of a difference. Chaisson or Delpit would be nice IF CeeDee wasn't there
I don’t like Delpit but like chaisson
But can’t argue about a top 10 player at 17

I didn't prep for the draft at all this year and this thread is basically my first look at Lamb. So don't get mad at me for asking this, it's an honest question.

I'm seeing lots of people saying he was the best WR in the draft, even "unanimously" the best WR in the draft, a clear top 10 pick, etc. So if that's true, why did we get him at 17, and why was he the 3rd WR off the board?
