So you're counting on Gregory and Smith, eh? Maybe Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain can join them? Seems like a fine plan. :muttley:

Guess you forgot what a force Gregory was before he got suspended. Did you miss the heat he provided. I don’t care what any one thinks about Smith, this guy is a freak of nature. Smith at even 70% will be better than what we have.

When it comes down to it, Dallas graded Lamb as a blue chip player. Not a first rounder, but a blue-chip guy. If there is one sitting there late (This reminds me of the Dez Bryant trade a decade ago), you count your lucky stars and don't be stupid. There was a reason both McCarthy and Jerry were giddy as hell on the clock.

In a past couple of drafts if the Cowboys had gone BPA they'd have taken TJ Watt and Juan Thornhill.

This is what they should be doing.

Sure but Lamb is the third receiver on a team that pays a RB a ton of money. You comparing that to an elite pass rusher? Please.

People been saying that for the last 25 years, I'll believe it when I see it...

Same fans say this stuff every year.

"We'll find our DT and safety in the second or third rounds. Don't worry!"

it'll always be bargain bin shopping or cast offs for Jerry at those positions. Always. They aren't jersey sellers enough, Lamb will sell jerseys to people thinking skill positions win championships.

Per usual, lots of Texas kids going high in the draft but this state can’t produce a National Champion.....

Should we have drafted a QB or RB if they were best available talent?
It wasn’t just the best available. Chaisson was the only defender even in Lambs zip code, and he was way over the other side of town, man. Not even close. If it had been Jefferson or the other WRs, we would have gone Chaisson. No one else was even close. Even the LBs would have been a reach. Your head coach was very happy!

BPA is based on positions of needs.

If BPA is already a position of strength you don’t keep drafting that position when there are other glaring weaknesses.

Where exactly do you think Lamb was ranked? I feel like some of you think he was a top 5 talent. He wasn't, he's not a Julio Jones.

Ed Reed didn't sell jerseys? Donald doesn't sell jerseys? Come on man, I get not liking the pick but the conspiracies are silly. Jerry shells out cash consistently. This isn't some owner just trying to make a buck. He may not always go about it the right way, but he is definitely trying to win AND make money.

People that hate the Lamb pick need to realize he wasn't JUST the BPA...slot WR is a position of need after Cobb bolted. In fact, a return guy is too.

BPA and filling need(s).

Boom.

Ask yourself, who was going to play in the slot otherwise? That's a key position for this offense to work.
I think we will see Lamb and Cooper sharing the slot. Lamb can play outside with his size and strength and win the fades in the red zone. With Cooper in the slot, you will see more broken ankles.
