Great job to McCarthy who really took an ignored position and transformed it. You realize the horrendous job they've been doing for years at DT, cause in 2 months it's night and day. A huge disservice to this D. Not saying they're great. I'm saying this situation is very different from the usual crap they been pedaling for a long time now.

The crazy part is if they beat the Eagles, Garrett are still here and there's no Poe, no McCoy, no Gallimore and hoping for the best from Hill. lol Killing this team for years and years,
Naw for Garrett to have retained his job this team was going to have to do what its never did under him which was at least go to a NFC championship. This team quit on him to make sure that didn't happen.

With Jerry just making the playoffs, tough year, Garrett great coach blah blah blah. You know the drill. I think that would've sealed it. I'm pleased with the outcome but it could've been the difference. Can't put it past him.

where are all the Garrett apologists who kept telling us we don’t need DTs and we have a great DL?

Feels weird, man. Is this real life?

If Gregory and Aldon get re-instated, this DL could actually be, dare I say it, pretty nasty? I'm not expecting that to be pro bowlers, but they'd probably get better as the year went on. Even just Gregory, really, but Aldon can probably still play a bit if he's not parking his car on people's front porches.

Naw this year was different. Jerry pretty much came out and said he was going to have to win in the playoffs to keep his job. He was a dead man walking. Everyone knew it. Jerry gave him enough chances...Probably too many.

Would like to see a hit on a lower round Oline guy, maybe another safety, sign a secondary guy that is available still FA and we'll be OK. Worried about Center of course. You don't just replace a guy like Fredbeard, it will be a dropoff no matter who they get. More 3 step drops will be required.
