Surely you don’t think of size as a stand alone factor, with talent level taking a back seat. Besides, he’s got the weight, so it’s just a matter of 2”. Is 2” really a difference maker?
Yeah, but taller frames lead to longer arms. The offensive lineman will be able to get their hands on him before he can get his hands on them. So now he has to try and be quicker than them and jump around them. And when he tries to jump around an offensive lineman he will be leaving running lanes in our front four. I want a guy that can control the offensive lineman instead of jumping around them.

ARM LENGTH - matters.

I don’t disagree that arm length can be a factor, but its one factor, and doesn’t automatically override all others. Sometimes taller also means it’s easier for O-Linemen to get under the pads, and sometimes it can make it harder to get leverage than someone with a lower center of gravity. Ultimately, it’s he overall package is really the key, and it doesn’t make sense to look at one trait to the exclusion of all others.

I want it all now.

Getting Lamb completely changed everything.

We got bigtime juice with him and recentered the whole team back to who we should be.

Offensive, sudden excitement and a rep that now proceeds us playing any team we line up against.

If we are scoring more, holding the ball longer and distributing the rock like magicians..

Holy smokefellas.

No way is Gallimore a 2nd rounder unless the entire draft is just garbo. He was taken right where he should’ve been. Only reason Brugler had a 2nd on him was because this is a bad draft for DT’s.

You realize Brugler's guide is on the Internet right? And anyone can see it?

Dallas had a second round grade, that's why he was the pick at 82.

I don’t think I ever foresee Gillmore as a “starter.” He strengths fall in line with a rotational guy which is perfectly fine in the 3rd round. McCarthy even made specific mention in the presser last night when speaking of Gillmore that defenses nowadays are sub-based (80% was the percentage he gave IIRC).

Who is Gillmore?

Dallas had a second round grade on Gallimore, that isn't a rotational guy.

Jordan Elliott has 32 3/8” arms
Neville Gallimore hs 32 3/4” arms

Gallimore’s arms are 3/8” longer.

I don’t disagree, but I don’t know what this has to do with my post. Lol

I get the feeling that some folks here expect perennial all-pro selections in every single round.

If this kid is anything more than a solid rotational piece, then it's a win-win. I wanted Davidson, but this kid looks fun. Watching some highlights, he looks like a pissed off Momma bear chasing after a Park Ranger who just stole her cub..the kid moves!! Constantly. I'm excited.

Most "professionals" I've seen have said, at minimum, he was a solid pick. I'll take that in the 3rd any day.

Gallimore’s got a lot more tools than most. And the fact that he’s a high motor player gives you exactly the type of player you would would want in the 3rd round of the draft. And how many Aaron Donald’s are there in the league ? I ain’t comparing no one to that dude.

Helman talked to people in the organization. They think Gallimore is a homerun.
I think so.

We just never draft like this.

It was usually Marrinelli having 15 DL to send waves at the QB.

It was like the Alamo. You knew in advance how it would end.

Love Gallimore. He’s the only guy I trusted on that OU defense. Getting him in the 3rd is a dream scenario. If we have a season I’m excited as heck with the guys we have in this draft so far.
