Had him since January 2002 when I was 9. Sadly, he passed away this afternoon from a liver and kidney issue.

sorry to hear that amigo, I feel your pain, sounds like he had a great, long life with you.

Henry had a long life and was loved. The person he wanted to hold him coming into this world and leaving it was a present to him as he was to you.

Love ya, kid. Keep your chin up and be ready to share more of that love with another furry friend.

Will do, and that is very true. And he had my parents and brothers with him as well as me with him at the beginning and end. I just happened to be the one he latched onto first as a kitten, and I was the one holding him at the end.

I’m sorry for your loss Furboy. Just got my first dog not long ago. Unless a miracle happens, she won’t live as long as Henry. Sounds like you gave Henry a pretty sweet life. All we can do is love and enjoy them while they are around. You definitely did that. Hang in there. Thanks for sharing those memories. Sounds like Henry was a cool cat.

He did. Losing him was like losing a best friend and brother. I think he and I were very close. I have so many stories and memories of us.

I feel ya, I had an awesome cat name squeaky (he didn't meow, he squeaked), had him for like 14 years and he got to the point where he slept right next to me. I couldn't sleep in my bed for a week after I lost him. Damn suckers get my heart in a FIERCE way. He was so funny, he always looked angry but was sweet as pie:

I was fortunate to find another awesome cat a few months after and I'm just as hooked, having another one has really eased the pain and provided constant joy and hilarity. Cats are funny as ****!

Look at this lazy nut:
