Ruggs is faster and that seems to be all the Raiders care about. Jeudy and CeeDee were 1-2 best WRs, so depended on which team liked who.I'll start off by saying I know absolutely nothing about these college kids that got drafted but if CeeDee Lamb is supposed to be the end-all, be all of this WR class and a can't miss prospect, then why was he only the 3rd receiver taken in the first round? I've seen others ask this but not seen any real explanation. Why did Ruggs and Jeudy go before him?
Shh, don’t ruin everything. Even though we haven’t been to even a championship game in 25 years, we’re the smartest guys in the room. Our board is the one true board and we’re the only team capable of drafting “BPA”. Our draft had so much “value”, that all of our picks from round one through five were reportedly in a six way deadlock with Joe Burrow to be the #1 pick on Cincy’s board.I'll start off by saying I know absolutely nothing about these college kids that got drafted but if CeeDee Lamb is supposed to be the end-all, be all of this WR class and a can't miss prospect, then why was he only the 3rd receiver taken in the first round? It's not just Cowboys fans. The majority of draft experts and scouts considered Lamb the best WR in the draft. It was close between him and Jeudy, but more considered Lamb the guy. The Raiders are gonna Raiders and just wanted speed with Ruggs.I'll start off by saying I know absolutely nothing about these college kids that got drafted but if CeeDee Lamb is supposed to be the end-all, be all of this WR class and a can't miss prospect, then why was he only the 3rd receiver taken in the first round? Ruggs-fastest receiver
Jeudy-best route runner(primarily a slot receiver)
Lamb-most all-around talented
Pick your preference
We got an absolute beast, even more so than Dez when he came up. I wanted defense too in the 1st but in no way can you pass on this guy. We all pined for a YAC WR.....we got one
And yet Lamb was not considered the best of the bunch by the people having to hand out guaranteed four year contracts. And by “draft experts” you mean Bleacher Report nobodies. It's not just Cowboys fans. The majority of draft experts and scouts considered Lamb the best WR in the draft. It's an all time deep WR class. And Lamb is considered the best of the bunch by the majority of people who do this for a living. Ruggs going first was silly. Jeudy, you can make an argument for, and thankfully the Broncos liked him more.

You seem to be having a hard time with the concept that you have no idea why anybody did what. Occam’s Razor would seem to suggest that the two teams who drafted for WR thought that they, in fact, did draft the best WR in the draft. Why are you having difficulty with the concept? If you’ve followed the draft you’ve seen this play out dozens of times.
How many times have we’ve seen multiple QBs taken in the 1st round and the second or third QB taken in that round become the best of that group. Same with OTs or wide receivers. Teams like different players for different reasons be it scheme fit, personality, et cetera.
Mike Nolan when he was the coach of the 49ers infamously chose Alex Smith over Aaron Rogers because Smith was seen as the more coachable guy based on him putting the football between his legs (like a basketball player) when asked while Rogers wouldn’t.

A ton of it had to do with teams not being able to bring players in for private workouts. Not only that but raiders drafted Ruggs because of speed. Denver drafted Juedy because they wanted a compliment for Sutton since he is their number 1 receiver.I'll start off by saying I know absolutely nothing about these college kids that got drafted but if CeeDee Lamb is supposed to be the end-all, be all of this WR class and a can't miss prospect, then why was he only the 3rd receiver taken in the first round? Whoever becomes the best WR will be determined on the field, not by beer gut Bleacher Report losers.
There was no consensus #1 WR leading up to the draft. It was generally considered Lamb and Juedy were neck and neck, with Ruggs 3rd. There were rumors that Ruggs might be first off the board which proved trueAnd yet Lamb was not considered the best of the bunch by the people having to hand out guaranteed four year contracts.
