I see high level coaching substance and team development vision that I have never seen before in this Cowboys salary cap and free agency era. McClay already is singing the praises of Mike McCarthy.

Jerry has wasted an entire generation. Garrett was only part of that.

We haven’t dug out the root of the weed yet.

We have seen a better HC this era under Jerry with Parcells. And we saw some immediate improvements which uplifted and took us in a better direction.

But in the end Jerry meddled and frustrated the situation and the results weren’t any better than some of the lesser coaches we’ve had.

I understand we all want to believe everything has changed. But it’s not. Some things are still very much in place.

That’s doesn’t mean we can’t have more success. It’s just not as likely as some want to believe. Coaching wasn't our only problem.

It’s the toxic atmosphere and dysfunctional culture which has been a Major contributing factor as well. It’s going to be very difficult for anyone to win here.

I agree we appear to have a better HC. Definitely more experienced and proven. His record speaks for itself. That alone should provide more hope.

But the Bear in the room is still there hovering over it all just waiting to insert himself more. It’s an aura that continues to hang over us. I’m cautiously hopeful. I’ve been around this SOB too long to trust him with anyone. He could ruin any of ours best wet dream.

Until I see him coach and manage a game, as of today Incomplete grade.

I’ve been around Narcissistic personalities like Jerry most of my adult professional life. They all think they’re going to live forever. And why he hasn’t stepped down yet at 77.

He only changed because public opinion forced him to. He fought it all the way. His next puppet is already in place if this fizzles out.

If Jerry was that serious about winning he would have stepped down. Until then it’s more of the same to me.

Preparation for school has been an A+. New clothes and shoes. Almost has all of his school supplies; just missing his Dak Prescott lunch box.

Will McCarthy show up for class??? That is the question. How will he do on the surprise test??? That is the question. Will he ace his finals? That is the question.
