New defensive back Daryl Worley can earn up to $3.5 million in the one-year deal he signed with the Cowboys. Worley received a $1 million signing bonus and has a $1.5 million base salary. He can earn up to $500,000 in gameday roster bonuses and $500,000 in playtime incentives. Worley has mostly played cornerback in his career but he has some safety experience.

played some safety.
theres a word for that.
positionflex.
it lost meaning under garrett.
it'll find its value under McCarthy.
Not true. He got all the position flex he needed with Tyrone Crawford ;)...im so freaking happy the clapping ginger is gone. i remember a year ago so many against the Idea of bringing Big Mac in as the coach. We needed this change sooner. He hasnt even coached a game yet but the coaching styles is already like night and day.

Thoughts?

A one year signing bonus is aweful big, for a player that wasn't redigned by his last team? I hope they really seen something from this guy that's better than our guys and dtaft choices

Giving Worley a 1 million dollar bonus is nothing. That’s like a tenner to Jerry.

Given that contract, I think they’re planning on either him getting on the field as our SS or getting on the field as a CB once one of the other guys is moved to safety.

so does this count $1.5 million against the cap, $2.5 million or $3.5 million?

Sounds like the new regime hates most of our old defense.

Split safety scheme we are supposed to run minimizes the role of a SS, hence the guys on the roster.

An under-whelming signing. Maybe Al Harris sees some traits he can work with— but he does not seem like much more than a vet insurance policy

I think they are moving on from Chido and Lewis. Brown is going to be the nickel corner.
