still cherry picking stats for Dak ? The most important stat is W-L. he is 1-6 against winning teams , and he failed to score 1 touchdown in many of them ( saints, patriots, eagles ). just too inaccurate when faced with a pressing defense. This started in 2018 as teams figured him out ( against the colts he scored Zero points). . but some hopeless optimists and apologists want to ignore the fact he is a mediocre Qb.

Generally you are correct. No other player or position is tied to or accounted for wins and losses.

But they are attached to QB’s and HC’s. And why they are a part of their stat sheet. It’s not included in their QB rankings but it’s a stat most keep up with.

Now whether it’s fair or not to give credit or blame to those win/ loss stats in quite another argument. They are just one player on the team. But QB’s are generally more acclaimed if they are on winning teams and we often attribute the teams success with greater QB’s.

There are some exceptions of course where average QB’s are on great teams and vice versus but generally speaking the great QB’s do elevate their teams eventually to more success than not.

I know they're attached, but it's idiotic and always has been. Even though a great qb doesn't elevate the team, they only elevate the offense. considering the qb is the most dependant position , there's no reason to attach a win or loss to his stat sheet. it takes a team to win

Unlikely that Dak gets injured in *virtual* meetings.

But if Dak just signs the tag, the complaints about him wanting more money go out the window til next year, and his salary for the year is guaranteed. That's how we got humped with Spencer.

Like I said, players don't listen to fan complaints. Regular folks think players do life with the currency they're used to, e.g., caring what people think of them or being shunned at the lunchroom table in high school. As a player, you handle your negotiation your way and when fans scoff at you, you wipe your tears with the crisp $20 bills you'll get.

That’s a flat out lie. Many of you all were waiting every week for him to fail during his rookie season. Just as you do now. Stop the bs. You all criticize every damn play and pounce like female dogs in heat whenever there’s an errant throw or any other mistakes.

you mad bro?

Of course but it’s the most important position. If you a have a great one it’s easier to build around. And they can elevate others. Great talent elevates others around them in all sports.

Much like in any sport. The more great talent you have the easier it is to win.

And a great QB can help the defense too even if it’s indirectly by not turning it over giving shorter fields. Or getting a leaf so defense can tee off . The QB doesn’t have to be on the field with defense to help them.

Why only the offense? You don't think watching Tom Brady march down the field and score doesn't inspire his defensive teammates?
Fair or not, QBs will always be judged by Ws and Ls.
Not really. Advertisers want to get to the 15% of the NFL fans - Cowboy fans. No larger audience.
Not really. Advertisers already have 15% of NFL Fans....we are the baseline. The endorsements and ever rising salaries per cap year is because of the NFL crossover appeal....
They want the casual fans... you know the family member who never watched football but buys you a birth gift Dak's jersey and a $900 gift card to sleep number...yep the family member who didn't know you might be a Dak Hater... .

again, it's irrelevant, you need a team to win...period. no ways around it. the offense helps the defense, not the qb, defense has to also help the offense, same for the special teams. I don't care how you try, the team had to win.

inspire doesn't mean you're winning the game, the defense still have to perform as a standalone unit. The defense still has to do it job.

So Aikman had zero flaws (with Dak haters) with career 61.5% completions, 165 td's/141 int's.

this is what is nuts about Daktards: you’re really comparing Dak to 3 time Super Bowl champion Aikman ? Like Dak’s accomplished anything to put him in the same universe as Aikman.

Now that sir! Is how you call out Dak Hater BS....stats and moving pictures (video) is worth a Dak Hater smack down...

Wonderful post!

Hey guy, it just does not all boil down to gang turf warfare. 'You'uns and uses'...leave enough room that points can be highlighted and perspective in the present is presented to view actual changes and degree of effectiveness. Presenting a continual conflict of dominant group liking, just kills a ton of good talk and discussion.

A label that insults and detracts from real discussion, doesn't revolve around any particular hyped association. Really, this was all about pro/anti Dak?

Hell if it was...but thanks for building up the attack mode slanders...it truly reflected being a fan?

If there's a phone in heaven, then Jesus put me through...

Bottom line here is...

The Dallas Cowboys have set up a complete offense to work around Dak Prescott.

Next, Dak Prescott has earned his place as the very next and top quarterback in line to receive a top money spot.

He should receive $36.5 - 38 Million and a guaranteed $105+ million...let's move on from here.

Mike McCarthy came aboard already with the understanding that Dak was his quarterback. Stephen is secure of the financials...let's 'matriculate' on down the field now!

Its also telling that fans have no idea what's being offered or what the contract actually is but the first reaction is to blame Dak and his side.

Thats the truth WE really Dont know what the offers really look like So in truth its hard for us to judge, I can honestly say I dont know If it is just a matter of years Im for just pay him for the 4 yrs if he wins you a SB you got off cheap if he doesnt then you have 4 yrs to look for a QB. TBH Im just so ready for this to be over LOL
