It could no doubt work with Dak throwing for 5k yards and 30 plus TD's. Could work very well actually.

However, I would rather he not have to. Winning with more defense would be great and then ending games with the run would be nice.
My point being that as a fan base, there is no other option.
Haters, Lover unite,, we gonna live or die with Dak at this point, and agree that his team better do everything they can to improve the chances of success.
A lot of that has nothing at all do with how "good" "great" Dak is at all, as a franchise you have to do everything possible to improve every year, every off season, every draft,,
if you don't you fail my natural process of attrition.
Everyone needs to wake up and realize that the only upgrade option left at the QB position is for a BU... get Dalton on the phone asap.
Dak is and will be the face of the Cowboys going forward.. like it or not..

He'll only be one of the best DC QBs (in my book) if he wins a SB. I don't give a rats *** about personal records and accomplishments.

Dak will never be the best QB in Cowboys history. Even if he wins two titles. Which he wont.

Staubach will always have the hearts of Cowboys fans. However breaking all the records is a possibility.

What's not to like? No one has really legitimately made an argument yet.

Some fans complaining that he isn't Mahomes or Brady isn't legitimate.

Cowboys are doing EXACTLY what they need to do. Fixed coaching, now focusing on defense and special teams. Also continuing to supplement the offense when opportunities arise.

I have no complaints other than Zeke contract, however I think we can afford that for another two years.

You mean his play action, 8 yard slant accuracy? one on one, play action 15 yard out accuracy with no one touching him? Aikman usually had all the time in the world and a clean pocket. His deep ball was sorely lacking and certainly when the Cowboys were down big his comeback game was nothing to crow about.

Aikman puts ZERO trophies anywhere with Garrett as coach and last years defense and special teams. ZERO...………...NONE.
Your comparing Aikmans OL to what Dak has been afforded?
If so that is really a shame, considering that while Aikman had an all Pro OL, discounting what has been afforded to Dak, would be a major disservice to Romo and what he had to deal with.
Bad analogy man.

Jesus I swear the OTAs can’t get here soon enough . Who cares if he becomes the best ever in cowboys lore.
One would think a true fan of team would welcome thAt.

who cares if he don’t . This franchise has been lucky in terms of QBs

finding franchise leading qbs isn’t the easiest thing to do and we’ve done it several times

I love my cowboys but the worst thing bout bn a cowboys fan

other cowboys fans!!! Some of you are as bad as eagle trolls

Couldn't agree more.
All I have ever tried, attempted to point to you, is that is just not so black and white, there is an in between with most fans.

As long as he wins a super bowl and does not choke against quality teams . No one cares or knows how many yards someone passed ( anyone knows Montana or Favre yard count ?? ) , all they count and remember is the super bowl rings .

I agree that this franchise was lucky, struck gold when we drafted Dak in the 4th round IN 2016.
Its 2020 now, perspectives change with time.

I am comparing the defense, coaching, and special teams mostly. There is no comparison. Aikman had it waaaaaay better then both Romo and Dak.

And if we are getting picky, both the Oline and the RB were better with Aikman. I also take Harper and Irvin over Gallup and Cooper. And certainly Novacek blew away Jarwin.

Not sure what you can even remotely dispute with any of this.

Aikman was great, but he had nearly the best team in history around him. Which made him look better than was reality.

So is your expert opinion that Dak should have won a SB by now?

Let’s go no huddle and keep defenses off balance. Our defense will need to learn how to defend themselves. If they want rest, get the other team off the field quicker. Tired of the offense hanging out in the right lane of the interstate.

A good old fashioned troll post, but let’s take a look. Dak would need to add 26 TD passes to last year’s career high total... which before last year he never even had 26 TD passes in a season. And unfortunately the number of Commanders and Giants games stays the same, so where are they going to come from? When looking at the few passers who reached or came close to 5,000 yards, almost all suffered a hard regression because 5,000 is such an outlier... and Dak obviously is too.
Also really the only “weapon” Dak is gaining is a rookie 3rd receiver. Keep in mind Bob Hayes rookie record of 46 catches has stood for more than 50 years, but maybe if Lamb can have literally half of his catches be TDs, maybe they can do it.
It was a nice troll, but no.

With his weapons and with a competent coach, I think Dak has a shot at breaking a lot of passing records. I hope they go to a ball control offense, but I think MM is gonna air it out and Dak will be the BEST QB in Cowboys history...
I listen to former coaches wearing Joker masks over all you pleebs.
Dak Rising!

Hopefully.
