Total exaggeration by fans, everything we've heard here was about his attitude, not his talent, the same issue popped up in Miami. Heck Solomon Thomas in SF was the 3rd overall pick and cant get his 5th year option picked up.
Almost every scout had him going in the first . it shows how much the draft is a crap shoot

"If you were watching the Michigan-Ohio State game, you might've noticed Charlton's game-wrecking ability (2.5 sacks)," McShay said. "He was Michigan's best pass-rusher this season (nine sacks in 10 games). He has the versatility to convert to a 3-4 OLB in the Steelers' base defense. Jarvis Jones and James Harrison are both set to be free agents."

McShay's so bullish on Charlton's ability, that in his first mock draft of the year, he has Charlton slated to the mid-to-late first round -- joining teammates Jabrill Peppers and Jourdan Lewis as Wolverines to be selected on the first day of the NFL Draft.

Attributing his meteoric rise to his newfound proficiency in technique, McShay says that Charlton's talent has always been there, but in utilizing that which defensive line coach Greg Mattison has been professing, Charlton has an opportunity to be a true star at the next level.

"Charlton finished the season on a tear, compiling 10 sacks in his final 10 games," McShay said. "He has always had the raw ability, but this season, he showed more consistency and refined technique. Charlton has the ability to be an edge defender in either a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme in the NFL."
Your attitude and talent go hand in hand. Dallas should have dug deeper before drafting Taco.
McShay and the Cowboys were wrong on Taco. I also believe like McShay, you are over rating Soft Taco’s talent.

Another draft projection

DRAFT PROJECTION
Round 2
SOURCES TELL US
"He looked a lot stronger and a lot more confident on tape this year. He needs to get bigger, but he's already a strong guy. I can see him standing or playing base end for a 4-3 team. He's going to keep getting better." -- Midwest area scout for AFC team
NFL COMPARISON
Paul Kruger
BOTTOM LINE
A long-limbed effort rusher who posted impressive numbers against the run and pass in just one year as a starter. He is a tireless worker who pursues from snap to whistle and his brother, J.J., will be a tremendous resource for technique and pass-rush plan. While he is unlikely to win a race to the edge, he's a plus run defender who can get to the quarterback with plus hand work and relentless effort.

Who cares what scouts thought before the draft. If you get 100 scouts saying Soft Taco was a Hall of Famer before the draft, it doesn’t matter. After the draft, and for the past 2 years, we can see by his play on the field, he is a BUST!!

Scouts make mistakes all the time, even on 1st round draft picks. With Taco his attitude holds him back in a major way and his talent is marginal at best. He may be redeemable, whatever that means, but he is done in the NFL. Again, watch the film, his marginal talent, is not worth his poor attitude!
So Taco is done in the NFL? He just got signed by the Chiefs. Maybe Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo are the right guys to fix Taco's attitude and save his career. One thing is for sure, you were wrong when you said, "Taco is done in the NFL".

I’m very surprised KC signed him. I doubt he will be on their final roster. Like us, they have almost 90 players on their roster right now. He has a long way to go before he makes KC’s official roster.

I don’t think I’m wrong yet!

Noone's NFL career lasts forever, his won't either, eventually, his will end. That doesn't make you right. KC has extended his career. That's something you did not see coming, so you are wrong. No matter how long that last, you are wrong now. There is no "wrong yet". You are just wrong about him and forever wrong about him. He got extended, end of the argument.

Let’s also put it this way. McShay was wrong on Taco. I was right on Taco. Before he was picked I was saying, don’t pick Charleton, he’s a serious reach for need. Many fans, maybe not you, saw the same thing as me.
Also, I happen to think I would be an excellent scout! Football is not all about measurables. To many scouts focus on the underwear olympics. Production on the field, desire, competitiveness, work ethic, etc. etc. all need to be considered when drafting football players.

Correct. I was wrong in the short term. He is not done yet, because he is on a roster, but he will be done soon enough.

Do you think he will be on their opening day roster? I don’t.

In another 2 years he will be considered a bust, though yes, I could be wrong.

so you think you know more? his talent isn't the issue, it was said here , it's his attitude, Heard the dude Newwy Scruggs say he's heard from people in the building say he felt entitled, throughout his whole college career and throughout the draft process there was no mention of attitude. you know who else was on Taco? Will McClay, who's considered good at what

Of course I listen to scouts, but scouts are wrong at times. Many were wrong on Taco.

I don’t always agree with scouts, do you?
