You mean, Andy Dalton, who started his career 50-24 with 4 straight 10 win seasons.

You want to compare that with the guy who went 28-30 and has only once passed over 60% completion for a season.

That is the comp you want to put out there!
He posted the comparison for only one reason. You and I both know why. That’s why I didn’t bite.

I am in the middle on Dak but you know you will be stoned to death over this post.
I am in the middle on Dak as well. Dalton started out his career really well but mid pack in NFL QB's since then. Not sure what his deal is with him because, unless they were playing the Cowboys I am sure I have never watched a full Cinn game!

Exactly how I feel. As a fan base we've endured Zekes Cabo crap, Dlaw delaying surgery and now we are looking at our franchise QB who is fresh off telling us he doesn't deserve Russell Wilson money. Many of Daks fans know he is not a perfect QB, but we hang on to his over all level of play and a trajectory we hope lands him amongst the leagues elite. We have seen enough flashes to be encouraged, but have also witnessed enough valleys to know he has simply got to become more consistent to justify the kind of money he wants.

Dak is a good, and promising young qb who appears to be over reaching on this contract. If his value was sky rocketing in the beginning of last season, then it should have been plummeting to end the season as he was not a part of the solution. We needed more from the team and Dak. If the reported offers, which I haven't seen Daks team refute are indeed true then Dak's demands are not reasonable.

Just because Im a Dak fan doesn't blind me to the fact he is working with a very strong offense. Its unfortunate we dont know how much JG hurt or helped his play. We know Dalton is capable and are not wrong to think he could play at a high level when we swap out his consistently weak oline, lack of a run game, one wr, always hurt TE offense with the stallions we have lining up. So for ONCE we are in a position to not cave to a players every demand. Dak can now choose to press his luck or accept what appears to be a very reasonable contract. My concerns about a hold out, or a failure to learn the new offense are now gone.

lol...Thought McCarthy was your savior. he had to sign off it. But you're FREAKING crazy if you don't think this is a great move.

He's a Dak fan first and only God knows if he's a Cowboy fan afterwards????
There hurting big time as they know that even Jerry has had enough of inept lemon Dak!

That deal is now off the table...It's a new day and that deal is now off the table. Unless Dak signs for reasonable and for 5 Years, ain't no deal happening.

LOL

I know it makes people feel excited about the Prescott negotiations but is has very little to do with it.
I disagree... a little bit. Have a quality qb in the stable who has proven he is able to win in big games gives the Jones' the ability to not cave in and can actually negotiate now. Yes Dak can sign the Tender and get paid but for an actual deal, now, he has to negotiate.

Only time I ever watch the bengals play was when Dak and Zeke played them in Texas there rookie year for that beat down.

Yayyy...first round exits....Yippey!!!!!

Let's post them playoff stats........

0-4 in the playoffs.
57 QB Rating

You're a damn fool if you'd "take that" lol.

Actually he got the Bengals their 5 straight years didn't get to play because the 5th year because he got hurt and missed the last 3 games of the season Bengals were 10-3 at the time. would you like to see the stats of some all time great QB's who've won SB's and how they started their playoff careers? I'll give you just one, (can you guess who it is) His career started off 0-4 also.

Geesh the overreactions in this thread are outrageous. This is a good addition. Similar to adding Orton as a backup in 2013. It allows the team to play football in the event Dak is injured or in event he pulls a Leveon Bell. McCarthy is smart enough to not rely on "Blooper" Rush if needed. While adding Dalton is a very smart move, it has little impact on the Dak negotiations. Take a deep breath....

Big Red with our talented offense will go 11-5 in a heartbeat.
Dak..... well bet on only beating the dog teams and having him give that "team effort" BS speech at the podium at the end of the games press conference!

P.S. Burn the Bow Tie Dak!!! NOW!!!!
