And set a new QB pay scale all at once? Obviously I used some hyperbole, but that's a steep price for any team.
You couldn't get Mahomes for FIVE 1sts.
That's the value of QBs in this league.
The utter ignorance regarding what QBs are worth is why we see so many goofy posts about Dak.

Dak would have to sign the tag and then the teams can discuss a trade for what ever compensation they deem fair for the signed franchised tagged player.
The two 1st's only come into play when the player is tagged but not signed and not exclusively tagged.

Mack was on his 5th year option.
not true a player cant be traded at all unless he signs the tag first this I know

Technically yes once he signs the franchise tender but that is an extremely far fetched scenario. Teams aren't giving up a 1st for him much less 2.

You might get a 1st out of a team.

I don’t think a team would mind giving up the draft compensation.

It’s the contract that comes with Dak that is the problem.

He isn’t good enough to pay that kind of money too but we are expected to pay Lamborghini prices for our Honda because the neighbors paid Lamborghini prices for their Honda’s.

Team can either rescind the tag making player free agent or player has to sign the tag to be traded.
In these deals the current team, new team and player are on the same page in the few occurrences that work out.

Yes I'm fully aware of how it works. Thanks.

he wouldn't agree to a trade and thats why hes not signing the tag unless he knows the team hes going to or the DC give him what he wants..now as July 15th approach's the last 24 hours we shall see

Yea, where did I state otherwise?

The two first rounders for non exclusive franchised players compensation apply when the player is tagged but hasn't signed the tag. In Dak's instance he was given the exclusive franchise tag which meant no team could offer him a deal period. Only way another team can acquire him is if he is released or he signs the tag then traded.

I know BrainPaint would need a Valium having to listen to this question. Some others have suggested to add Scotch to the Valiums.
Shoot, I add Scotch to my water heater. Makes showering great!

Now he can’t be traded for a first? By the way half here talk about him, he’s a can’t miss Franchise QB. He can definitely fetch a 1st. To who and who is desperate enough is the question.

After the Kirk Cousins experiment in a couple years, The Vikings. Especially with playoff aspirations.

I can see the Jaguars trying to kick start a franchise that isn’t going anywhere soon.

Raiders, because.

And since our ex-players seem to enjoy going to rivals. They would love to say, “I told you so.” Add the Commanders and Giants.

Reported for trolling.

The tenderhearts are weeping and gnashing their teeth over someone even posing the questIon.
It should come down to "is it possible to trade him?" Which unless he signs the tag, isn't. And he hasn't signed it, so it's not really up for debate.
