Don't let the 3 sacks fool you, Clowney is still explosive and disruptive freak.

His asking price should come down due to perceived production and injuries however. Clowney wants to play for a contender too, so may be willing to give up some $ for right team. if Jerry can get him for 12-14M it would be a steal.

Rather count on Clowney than Crawford. Talent wise it's not even close. Crawford just as injury prone if not worse.

If Crawford is worth 8M then Clowney is worth 10-12M.

Has he? Based on what? Obviously he hasn't signed anywhere. It makes sense that Griffen and Bennett have signed anywhere. They are vets in their 30s. Usually those guys get added later once teams have been in camp and pre-season games, they get a better idea of what they have and then add a vet or 2. Clowney is 27. He should be highly sought after if he is good as some make him out to be especially if his price tag has been lowered.

Clowney has scheme versatility, Griffen does not.

Clowney is the more catalytic player, his value is at its lowest.

His value may be at its lowest, but it isn't cheap. I don't see anywhere indicating he will take a discount from what he wants. A supposed 27 year old, stud DE should have a high value and interest from many teams. It sure is interesting that no teams are stepping up to pay him big money.

That is incorrect. Several teams have offered him very big money, 21M (Browns), 18M (Dolphins) and 17M (Seahawks). Turned them all down.

AMoney is important but not be all, Clowney is also looking for fit and a championship contender.

His double rate and pass rush win rate was exceptional in 2019. Amoungst the top pass rushers in the NFL.
