This is a tragically bad take for Theisman who knows first hand one play could end your career and effect how you walk the rest of your life.

Maybe LT gave give me CTE as well....
Nah its the opposite it says dont play on the tag because if this happens you end up with nothing take 33/105 and 105 mil buys your entire future..

Nope.
He has 31.4 mil GTD plus another 50M in insurance for injury.
He's ensuring the max long term money here.

It's much like what Romo did.
Once you have large yearly salaries being pushed forward the team HAS to extend you by handing you very large checks yearly and massive checks every 3rd or 4th year to add seasons for cap accounting.

Dak is betting on himself much the way DLaw did.
And it is very likely going to pay off.

He is not worth that much but if he can takes as much money power to him it is up to the Jones to give him or not.

I live in the land of Joey T. Front seat of the Commanders Clown car show. No one in the D.C. area listens to Joe anymore. For goodness sake no one in Cowboys nation should be either.

Well he's probanly thinking the guarantees on the new contract are higher than the franchise tag so why risk betting on yourself?

81.4m (paid out in 1 year) versus 105 (paid out over 3) isn't that meaningful.

Getting another 200M deal in 4 years is a very big deal.

If you’re not a total idiot, it buys the future for at least 3 generations. History has shown the majority of fortunes are squandered after three generations that had nothing to do with earning it. Obviously, there are exceptions.
