Independent of whether or not Nolan has been good or bad, this defense will create a lot more turnovers just by being more varied.

There is also the small matter of having our CBs facing the QB instead of having their backs turned half the time.

We don't know that. If they're going to play more press-man - which Diggs, Robinson, and Worley all suggest - that won't change.

I think he is referring to the fact that Diggs was considered the best at playing the ball in the air of the CBs in this draft. It was also one of the top skills of Robinson. They both tend to look back at the ball which seemed to be a problem with the Cowboys CBs for a long time.

Substituting Awuzie for Heath is going to bring a lot more ball skills to the secondary also (assuming that is the lineup).

I mean maybe - and I don't disagree that these guys probably have better ball skills than Byron and Chido.

But that's independent of whether they're playing with their back to the QB or not.

Haven't they confirmed they are going to play a lot more zone? Beyond substitutions like Diggs for Byron Jones, that should be a major factor as well.

I want to see what he does as far as coverage. In the past, Nolan has run primarily quarters which is really easy to exploit.

The should let Nolan check in on the game plan meetings, and let Edwards call the plays on game day.

Can these guys pickup a new scheme with new guys, while not having a normal off-season to install the defense?

DAL targeted 6'1 205 CBs because they want to play press, which means their backs will be turned to the ball.

No matter the alignment, still gonna be Poe n McCoy pushing the pocket, and DLaw, Aldon n RG heating up the edge.

Who said it was "easy to exploit" ?

It is less prone to big plays than some other coverage(s)...

They will likely use Jaylon Smith as a wildcard.

I hope he is up for it.
